Color palettes let you recolor a stored creature without changing its species. Each stored slot can hold one palette at a time, and most palettes can be traded once you own them. Signature Looks and material overrides use different rules and live on the Material Palettes page instead.

How palettes work on your creatures

Apply a color palette from your inventory to a stored creature and its body colors swap to that preset. Your default species colors stay separate, and secondary species palettes (the ones tied to a specific creature type) are not the same thing.

If you die while wearing a palette, you may need to pay an appearance fee to keep it on that creature. Plan around that before you take a risky fight in your favorite colors.

Where to spend your currency

Shooms shop palettes are the steady baseline. Prices range from cheap starter tones to pricey statement looks. If you just want a reliable recolor today, start here.

Tikit palettes sit in the same permanent shop but cost Tikits instead of Shooms. Good when you have mission tokens piling up and Shooms are earmarked for something else.

Shrine drops do not have a fixed price. Donate at Shadow or Warden shrines for a random chance at shrine-only palettes. You are gambling time and donations, not shopping a menu.

Some standard palettes also mention event tokens in their obtainment notes. Those tokens may come back during seasonal events, but the palette itself stays in the permanent pool once you unlock the route.

Daily mission rotation

Three palettes rotate through the daily mission reward track. Complete region tasks and survive the required time, then claim the palette from the Missions window. The active palette changes on the schedule, so check missions before you grind the wrong day.

Event palettes and trading

Most event palettes only appear during their seasonal window. Halloween, Winter, Valentine's, Summer Paradise, Spring Meadows, and the rest each bring their own event currency (Candy, Candy Canes, Roses, Pearls, Clovers, Sparklers, and more).

Once you own an event palette, you can usually trade it even when the event is offline. That is why older event colors still move through player trades. If you missed a shop window, trading is often the realistic path.

Event obtainment is not always a straight shop buy. Some palettes come from minigames, mission chains, gacha boxes, premium bundles, or mixed currency plus token requirements. Read the full obtainment line on a card before you farm the wrong activity.

Redeem codes and merch

The Campfire palette unlocks through limited Discord Campfire Campout redeem codes. These windows are short and easy to miss if you are not watching official announcements.

Merch palettes bundle with Twin Atlas clothing or enamel pin purchases through the in-game Premium Store merch section. Real-world USD prices apply, and store listings can change between restocks.

Picking a palette vs buying/trading

Common mistakes

• Assuming every palette in the shop costs Shooms (Tikits and shrine RNG are separate routes).
• Grinding an event activity that only sold the palette in a past year without checking the latest obtainment line.
• Forgetting the death appearance fee and losing a look you thought was locked in.
• Mixing up color palettes with Signature Looks or material overrides, which follow different death and revive rules.

Seasonal palettes return when their event runs again. Many stay tradable after you own them, so missed shop windows often mean player trades instead of waiting a full year.
