How stacking works
Each artifact applies a price multiplier. Owning multiple copies multiplies those multipliers together, not adds them. A creature priced at 10,000 Shoom with two 40% artifacts (0.6 × 0.6) drops to 3,600 Shoom. Prices never go below 1 Shoom, no matter how deep your stack runs.
Every artifact type caps at 20 copies. At max stack, a 2% artifact barely moves the needle. The premium 30% and 40% artifacts are where real savings live.
Pick a shop target first
Artifacts only discount creatures in Shop → All Creatures → Artifact. Each artifact family maps to one creature group. Air and Storm both discount flier-shop creatures. Plant and Earth cover the photovore set. Water and Sea cover aquatic shop creatures, and so on.
Before you grind missions, decide which Artifact Shop creature you want. Then farm both artifacts in that family: the cheap common one for filler stacks and the premium one for the heavy discount.
Farming by drop type
Probabilistic missions are the default. Any mission on an artifact's list can roll the drop. You do not need to finish every bullet in one life. Plant Artifact can drop from eating alone, for example.
Guaranteed shrine donations pay out Warden Stone, Warden's Jewel, and Shadow Artifact once you hit the listed food totals at the right shrine. These are the most predictable farms if you can stockpile food.
Gacha rolls can award Storm Artifact from Sky Gacha (about 20% per roll) and Sea Artifact from Sea Gacha. Treat these as bonus income, not a reliable main route.
Rare location drops include Blighted Artifact from kills on Shadow Isle. Expect low odds and plan for repeat runs.
What gets consumed on purchase
Buying a discounted Artifact Shop creature consumes every artifact you own from that family pair. Picking up Megalodystrix burns all Air and Storm artifacts in your inventory for that purchase. Save premium stacks until you are ready to commit.
Common mistakes
- Stacking only 2% artifacts and wondering why prices barely change. Push the 30% or 40% artifact in the same family.
- Farming the wrong creature type for an artifact mission. Tier and diet requirements matter; check the obtainment line before you spawn in.
- Burning a full stack on the wrong creature. Once consumed, those artifacts are gone. Double-check the shop tab creature before you confirm.
- Ignoring shrine thresholds when you already have food stockpiled. Warden and Shadow guaranteed drops beat random mission grinding when you can meet the donation numbers.

Where do I see artifacts I already own?
Open the main menu and go to Misc. Items. Artifacts sit alongside other non-creature inventory items you earn from missions and shrines.
Do artifact discounts add together?
No. They multiply. Ten 2% artifacts do not equal 20% off. Each copy applies its own multiplier to the running price, which is why premium artifacts matter more than stacking commons.
Can I use Air and Storm artifacts on the same purchase?
Yes, and you will want to. Both discount the same flier-shop creature family, and buying a discounted creature consumes every artifact from that family pair you currently hold.
Do I need to finish every mission on an artifact list?
No. Any single mission on the list can roll the drop. You can spread farming across lives and playstyles as long as you meet that mission's requirements.
Which artifacts are guaranteed instead of random?
Warden Stone, Warden's Jewel, and Shadow Artifact pay out once you complete the listed shrine food donations. Everything else on the page is probabilistic unless a gacha or rare-kill note says otherwise.
What happens to my artifacts after I buy a shop creature?
