Early abilities start with movement and basic combat

Air Jump, Aura, and Flash Step are the early Ability Teacher unlocks players usually notice first. Air Jump helps with vertical travel, Flash Step gives a short teleport for movement or escape, and Aura turns into a combat foundation because it improves non-fruit attacks and helps bypass Elemental Reflex.

Dashing is different because it is a basic movement action rather than a teacher purchase. It still belongs in the ability list because it affects travel, chase, and escape, especially when accessories or race effects change how far or fast a player can move.

Aura and Instinct keep progressing after unlock

Aura and Instinct should be treated as systems. Aura starts as body or weapon coating, then grows through stages that improve non-fruit damage and later reduce incoming damage. The visual look can be changed separately from the actual unlocked buffs, so a player should not judge Aura progress only by appearance.

Instinct gives dodges and awareness, then leads into Instinct/V2 once the late requirements are met. Instinct Break is part of that combat language: it means a move can force someone out of Instinct instead of being a separate shop ability.
