All 8 Expedition Buildings in Anime Expeditions

Updated on (15 days ago)

Expedition Buildings turn the Hub into a permanent progression base after Expedition mode unlocks at player level 20. Each one asks for a different slice of your resources, so a useful upgrade plan starts with the bottleneck slowing your runs rather than whichever roof looks busiest.

Building a useful Expedition Hub

The Expedition Center sets the upgrade ceiling for the surrounding buildings. Raise it when another important building is blocked, but avoid pouring everything into the Center before you can benefit from the new limits. A taller ceiling is lovely, though it does not mine a single Geode by itself.

The Research Lab is a strong early investment because its bonuses carry into future runs. Choose research that supports your immediate problem, such as economy, payload strength, unit power, or general progression, then work through the required earlier nodes instead of spreading coins across branches with no clear goal.

Choosing production and combat upgrades

The Gold Mine and Resource Drill both consume Expedition Fuel, so upgrading them does not remove the need to decide where that fuel goes. Favor the Gold Mine when Gold is holding back upgrades. Favor the Resource Drill when you need Geodes and the account materials they can contain.

The Armory is the direct route to stronger equipment through crafting, rerolling, and dismantling. It becomes more valuable when equipment quality is the reason your team struggles, while production upgrades make more sense when the real problem is a dry resource wallet.

Spending after the core is stable

Recurring Quest Board goals provide a steady reason to keep playing Expeditions, but their timing should be treated as recurring rather than tied to one promised reset schedule. Claiming those rewards while building the Hub helps soften the cost of later upgrades.

The Expedition Shop is a place to spend Expedition Coins on rotating stock. Compare a purchase with the permanent Research Lab or building upgrade it delays, since a useful material today can still be expensive tomorrow.

Training Grounds helps idle units earn Unit EXP and Worthiness over time. It is handy once your economy and active team are working, but it is usually a convenience upgrade when Fuel, equipment, or permanent research is still blocking progress.

FAQ

Q.

When do Expeditions unlock in Anime Expeditions?

Expedition mode and its Hub unlock at player level 20. The Expedition Center then controls how far the surrounding buildings can be upgraded.

Q.

Which Expedition Building should I improve first?

Start with the building that fixes your current bottleneck. Research Lab supports permanent growth, Gold Mine helps a Gold shortage, Resource Drill supplies Geodes, and Armory improves the equipment loop.

Q.

Should I upgrade the Expedition Center before other buildings?

Upgrade it when its level is blocking a building you need. Raising it far ahead of the surrounding buildings spends resources without giving an immediate production or combat benefit.

Q.

What is the difference between the Gold Mine and Resource Drill?

Both use Expedition Fuel. Gold Mine produces Gold, while Resource Drill produces Geodes that can open into rerolls, Trait Crystals, Gems, and other materials.

Q.

Does the Expedition Shop always sell the same items?

No. Its stock can rotate, so treat it as a place to spend Expedition Coins rather than a fixed inventory.

Q.

What do units gain from Training Grounds?

Assigned idle units gain Unit EXP and Worthiness over time. It supports bench growth, but it does not replace the resources needed for active Expedition upgrades.
