Titanic Scalder is a Harpoon Gun from Fisch's The Deep update (Version 1.96). You craft it. It is not a fishing rod, and finishing one NPC quest does not drop the gun into your bag.
The recipe is free once you hit Level 200: 1 Thermal Harpoon, 1 Heat-Proof Metal, and 25 Salvage Scrap at the Ancient Archives harpoon table. It is a long-range Deep harpoon, and Vesper needs it for the The Deep rods path.

Open The Deep first. Use how to enter The Deep in Fisch if you still need the sail, ship, and dive. Materials farm under the surface; the craft sits back on Ancient Isle.

Vesper sits in the Lower Deep, mid-zone near the thermal vents. GPS: 1610, -2830, -11765. Turn in Thermal Adaptations for the Thermal Harpoon, plus C$ and XP.
Keep that item. Thermal Harpoon is a craft material, not a gun you equip and fire. Selling or trashing it forces another Vesper run.
Hunter Dan camps in the Outer Deep near seaweed and Sector 1P-1. GPS: -570, -2080, -12010. Work his Outer Deep line until Big Gamer Harpooner (his fourth quest). That turn-in rewards Heat-Proof Metal, 20,000 C$, and 4,000 XP. His fifth hunt is optional if you only need the metal.
Salvage Scrap piles up while you fish and clear Deep quests. Bag extras early so the Archives stop is one trip.
Craft Titanic Scalder at the Ancient Archives harpoon table
Head to Ancient Isle, enter the cave behind the lower waterfall, and take the rope down into the Ancient Archives. In the craft cavern, open the Harpoon Gun Crafting table, not the fishing-rod anvil used for builds like the Titanium Rod. Wrong station is why the recipe can look empty even when materials are ready.
At Level 200, spend 1 Thermal Harpoon, 1 Heat-Proof Metal, and 25 Salvage Scrap. Craft cost is 0 C$. Titanic Scalder lands in your inventory.

High range and resilience make it solid for Deep roamers. Reload is short, so the next shot comes back quick. Use it on Vesper's second quest for Scalding Hook, or park it next to other Deep tools such as the Scrap-Cannon Harpoon Gun and the rods in how to get every The Deep rod in Fisch. Outside The Deep, the Trident Striker ritual is a separate harpoon unlock.
