The Titanium Rod is a crafted fishing rod from Fisch's The Deep update (Version 1.96). You build it at the Crafting Anvil in the Ancient Archives, not as a free NPC handout.

What you need to craft the Titanium Rod
The anvil sits in the Ancient Archives on the usual Moosewood route. You need Level 250, 200,000 C$, and these materials. If a live patch changes a count, trust the recipe on the anvil.

How to get the Titanium Shaft, Reel, and Refined Scrap
Quest text can shift slightly between builds. If a name or count differs, follow the quest UI.
Titanium Shaft from Sledge
Find Sledge in the Outer Deep, near the sector beacon labeled IP-4 (some UIs show 1P-4; use the beacon next to Sledge).
Work through Sledge's chain in order. Confirm each checkbox in-game. The usual path looks like this:
- Restoring IP-4 style steps: turn in about 25 Chitin Plate, 20 Salvage Scrap, 1 Refined Scrap, and 1 Hardened Chitin, then install Reinforced Housing in Sector IP-4.
- Scrap Extraction: catch a Broken Flashlight and a Bent Harpoon.
- Armored Shells: catch three Big or larger Devil Scorpionfish, plus more Chitin Plate. Aim for the Lower Deep at night in clear weather.
- Heavy Metallurgy: catch a Crushed Diving Helmet and farm more Chitin Plate.
- Master Smith's Honor: turn in 5 Hardened Chitin and 5 Refined Scrap.
Finish the full chain and Sledge hands over the Titanium Shaft.
Titanium Reel from Forge Hand Marcus
Locate Forge Hand Marcus near a white structure opposite the Bounty Tracker area in The Deep.
Complete Bearing Reinforcement for him:
- Turn in 30 Chitin Plate.
- Turn in 12 Salvage Scrap.
Those turn-ins reward the Titanium Reel. If his live list differs, trust the UI.
Refined Scrap ×5 for the anvil
Farm the Outer Deep and open or catch Crushed Diving Helmet items. Players often report about a 10% Refined Scrap chance from those helmets. Outer Deep scrap drops help too.
Sledge already asks for Refined Scrap mid-chain, so bag extras while you quest instead of starting from zero later.
Craft at the Ancient Archives
With Level 250, Titanium Shaft, Titanium Reel, five Refined Scrap, and 200,000 C$, use the Crafting Anvil in the Ancient Archives. The rod lands in your inventory. Free C$ from Fisch codes softens that Archives bill while you grind.

Abilities: 20% chance for the Titanium mutation (9× value); every 0.5 s, a 35% chance to slash for 5% progress and a 0.15 s stun; +30% Progress Speed.
The 0.3 control bar is wide, and infinite Max Kg means weight stops being the bottleneck. That combo makes Titanium the calm everyday pick among Deep rods. Durability 200 also lets you fish lava, noxious fluid, and brine pools.
