The Deep is Fisch's big underwater zone from the Version 1.96 update. You sail past a sea border, pick up a dive device on a labeled ship, then drop into a town under white domes.
It is not The Depths, Desolate Deep, or Challenger's Deep. Those older spots keep their own unlocks, so leave the Vertigo key and old buoy dive for another trip. When you need those routes, use the Fisch wiki and the locations list.
Sail north from Castaway Cliffs to The Deep ship
- Go to Castaway Cliffs at GPS (690, 135, -1693).
- Sail north into the open ocean until you hit a small barrier and a fade-to-black transition.
- On the far side, head to GPS (228, 130, -11945) and board the ship with The Deep labeled above it.
Miss the exact pin and you will still want that boat. Once you clear the sea border, the ship with The Deep floating above it is the real landmark.
Equip diving gear, talk to Cadet Shimmerfin, then dive
- Equip Flipper, Oxygen Tank, Tidebreaker, and Diving Gear before you talk to anyone on the ship.
- Speak with Cadet Shimmerfin. With the full set equipped, you receive the Deep Survey Device (also called the Deep Survive Device in some places; same handoff item).
- Move to the anchor at the rear of the ship.
- Jump down while using Tidebreaker, and keep descending toward the deep.
- When you reach the underwater town with large white domes, refill oxygen in the center, then keep exploring.
Keep the gear on your character, not parked in inventory. Cadet Shimmerfin only hands over the device when that full set is equipped.
After you land, aim for the main The Deep marker by the temple-side landmark. Outer Deep sits off to the right of that marker; one useful pin is (558, -2388, -12929).
