Clawman is the best class in Chop a Forest, and it isn't close on paper. It tops every stat the class list tracks. Lumber Legend is the closest second, with the same five stats at smaller numbers.
This ranking covers overall usefulness in both Solo and Team runs. Power improves your chopping, Walk Speed gets you around faster, Sell Price raises what each sale pays, Rare Tree Luck helps with rare trees, and Carry lets you haul more logs per trip. Each class is judged on how many of those stats it boosts, how big the boosts are, its Gem price and whether it has a clear focused role. The tiers come from the listed stats and prices, not timed runs, so read them as a strong opinion rather than a benchmark.

S Tier
| Class | Power | Walk Speed | Sell Price | Rare Tree Luck | Carry |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Clawman | +200% | +35% | +100% | +100% | +5 |
Clawman is the only S-tier class, and the reason is simple: it doesn't make you pick a stat to chase. You get all five boosts on one card. Its +200% Power is the biggest chopping boost on the list, and its +5 Carry means more logs per trip than any other class.
The catch is the cost. It lists at 4,000 Gems and is rarely in stock, so it may not be in the shop when you have the Gems. When that happens, Lumber Legend is the fallback. Clawman is also sold as a Robux pass, and the Robux price isn't consistent, so check the pass listing before you buy.
A Tier
| Class | Power | Walk Speed | Sell Price | Rare Tree Luck | Carry |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lumber Legend | +100% | +25% | +50% | +50% | +3 |
| Ultimate Lumberjack | +50% | +20% | +25% | None | None |
Lumber Legend is the broad A-tier pick. Every number is smaller than Clawman's, but Power, Sell Price and Rare Tree Luck are each about half, and it still covers all five stats. For 2,700 Gems, it's the cheapest way to get all five.
Ultimate Lumberjack is the narrower one, with Power, Walk Speed and Sell Price for 1,600 Gems. It has no Rare Tree Luck or Carry, so it won't help if your goal is more logs per trip. It's most useful in Team runs. In Solo runs, it gets better as you add better tools and Carry upgrades.
B Tier
| Class | Power | Walk Speed | Sell Price | Rare Tree Luck | Carry |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chainsaw Specialist | +35% | +10% | None | None | None |
| Timber Titan | +60% | None | None | None | +2 |
| Forest Reaper | +20% | None | None | +25% | None |
B-tier classes each boost two stats. That puts them behind the top tiers on breadth, but each one is the right pick when one of those two stats is what's holding you back.
Chainsaw Specialist is the Power and movement pick. Its +35% Power and +10% Walk Speed make chopping stronger and moving quicker, for 800 Gems.
Timber Titan is the Power and Carry pick. Its +60% Power is the third-biggest Power boost on the list, and +2 Carry means more logs per trip. In Team runs, it pairs well with a seller. Timber Titan is listed at 1,000 Gems, while a separate shop entry shows 435 without naming the currency.
Forest Reaper is the cheapest B-tier class at 500 Gems. It's a focused tree-chopper and rare-tree pick, and it's especially useful in a Team role.
C Tier
| Class | Power | Walk Speed | Sell Price | Rare Tree Luck | Carry |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lumberjack | +10% | None | None | None | +1 |
| Logmaster | None | None | +10% | None | +2 |
| Timber Baron | None | None | +30% | None | None |
| Woodcutter | +5% | None | None | None | None |
C-tier classes have the smallest packages, with one or two small boosts each. They rank lower on breadth, but each one still covers a specific job.
Early Picks: Woodcutter and Lumberjack
Woodcutter is the free starting class, so using it costs you nothing. Its +5% Power is the smallest Power boost on the list, but it's a fine place to start while you save Gems.
Lumberjack costs 180 Gems and adds +10% Power and +1 Carry. That's a small early bump, and cheap enough to try before you save for a bigger card. Don't mix it up with Ultimate Lumberjack. That's a separate A-tier card with different boosts.

Selling and Carry Picks
Timber Baron is a selling pick, with +30% Sell Price for 330 Gems, and it's useful in Team runs. Logmaster is narrower on selling at +10% Sell Price, but it adds +2 Carry for 270 Gems. Pick Timber Baron when selling is what slows you down, and Logmaster when you want a bit of both.
Which Class Fits Your Run
Choose by the stat that's holding you back:
- Team runs: Ultimate Lumberjack, or Timber Titan paired with a seller.
- Chopping and movement: Chainsaw Specialist for speed on 800 Gems, or Timber Titan if logs per trip matter too.
- Rare trees: Forest Reaper.
- Selling or carrying: Timber Baron for selling, Logmaster for a mix.
- Free start: Woodcutter, at no Gem cost.
If you're saving for one class, Lumber Legend is the practical target. Grab Clawman when it's in the shop and your Gems cover it.
