The Halloween update is out now in Lethal Ape Experience, and the event asks for one thing: find all 20 pumpkins in the Play area. Collect every one and you get the Pumpkin Hat and the "Collected all 20 Pumpkins" badge. The pickups are small and spread across the facility, so the route below uses landmarks you can spot: pipes, traffic cones, a giant pumpkin, a yellow maze and a parking garage.
How the Pumpkin Hunt Works
Enter the Play area and start collecting. The pumpkins can be picked up in any order, so follow the route below or grab the ones you pass.
You can collect them in the middle of a run. Monsters roam the facility, though, and the official game page advises staying quiet and hidden while you search. Dying doesn't cost you the pumpkins you've already collected.
The route below is numbered 1 to 20. If a landmark doesn't match what you see, use the Collect Pumpkin prompt to confirm the pickup.
Pumpkins 1 to 4: Pipe Room, Outdoor Wall and Bunk Room
Pumpkin #1: Right Corner by the Pipe
Enter the Play area and follow the hallway to two doors on the left. Take the second door and check the right corner by a pipe.
Pumpkin #2: Below the Outdoor Wall Light
Leave the first spot and head outside to the left while facing the wall. Then follow the wall to the right and check below a wall light.
Pumpkin #3: Under the Lone Tree by the Giant Pumpkin
Keep going to the far end of that wall. Near the giant pumpkin, check under the lone tree by the wall, on the pumpkin's left.
Pumpkin #4: First Right-Hand Bunk
From #1, go straight, turn left at the wall, and enter the room with bunk beds on both sides. Check the first bunk on the right.
Pumpkins 5 to 8 Through the Yellow Maze and Pool Room
Pumpkin #5: Left Side of the Yellow Maze
At the Backrooms-themed maze entrance, go left, then left and right. Take the path on the left, turn right, and keep going straight. The pickup sits on the yellow-patterned floor on the left side of the maze.
Pumpkin #6: Left Corner of the Left Room
From the maze entrance, go straight to the right-hand path. Turn left at the wall and head toward the giant pumpkin, then take the path on its right. Where the rooms sit on either side, enter the left room and check its left corner.
Pumpkin #7: Left Wall at the Pool Room
Go back to the bunk room from #4 and use the entrance beside the Backrooms door. Go straight, take the first left, then turn right and left at the fork. Continue to the pool room and look left from its entrance, near the wall.
Pumpkin #8: Under the Half-Open Door by the Cones
Go back to that same entrance beside the Backrooms door. Go straight, turn right at the two-path junction, and keep going to the end. Turn left and check under the partly open door near the traffic cones.
Pumpkins 9 to 14 Past the Scrap Recycler and Cafeteria
Pumpkin #9: Small Room Past the Scrap Recycler
From the same Backrooms-area door, follow the path from #8 but take the left route. Go straight, turn right at the end, and climb the ramp. Pass the Scrap Recycler, then check the small room on the right for a pumpkin on the floor.
Pumpkin #10: Left Pipe in the Pipe Hallway
From #9, continue straight to a hallway with pipes on both sides. Check the left pipe.
Pumpkin #11: Right Side of the Yellow Vending Machine
From #10, go through the door and turn left. In the room with three large pillars, check the right side of the yellow vending machine.
Pumpkin #12: Left Shelf at the End of the Hall
From the small room for #9, go straight and turn left at the end of the path. At the end of the hall, enter the room on the right and check the left shelf.
Pumpkin #13: Left Side of the Giant Pumpkin by the Cameras
Leave #12, turn left, and keep going straight. Take the first left and go to the end, past the shelf room. Enter the doorway marked by traffic cones to reach the camera room, then check the left side of the giant pumpkin opposite the cameras.
Pumpkin #14: Small Opening on the Right Past the Cafeteria
Leave #13 toward the cones and take the opposite path. Go up the ramp to the cafeteria, keep going straight out, then take the first left. Check the small opening on the right near the end.
Where Are Pumpkins 15 and 16?
Pumpkin #15: Second Shelf in the Yellow-Light Room
Leave #14 and turn left toward the yellow-light room. Enter by the door near two white cartons, then continue to the two shelves on the right and check the second one.
Pumpkin #16: Under the Desk in the Green-Button Room
From #15, go back to the yellow-light room and take the left path at its end. Follow it to a ladder and climb. Take the first path left, then turn right at the two-entrance room. Use the right entrance, keep going straight, and take the first left into the glass room with a green wall button. Check below the desk.
Pumpkins 17 to 20 Near the Entrance and Parking Garage
Pumpkin #17: Left Corner Beside the Shelf
Leave #16 and cross the rooms and hall to the last room. Turn left at its end and climb the ramp. At the fork, go right to the vending-machine room. Pass the machine, enter the first room on the right, and check the left corner beside the shelf.
Pumpkin #18: White Reception Desk
Leave #17, turn right, and continue to the doors marked Entrance and Parking Garage. Go through the Entrance door and take the ladder. Follow the path to the white reception desk and check the desk.
Pumpkin #19: Wall Side of the Green Car
From #18, return to the Entrance and Parking Garage doors and enter Parking Garage. In the room with two vending machines and a blue and green car, check the wall side of the green car.
Pumpkin #20: Floor by the Black Ramp
From #19, go into the parking area and turn left from the main area. Turn left again toward the black ramp and check the floor.
