Which Ride A Pet Pets Are Fastest: Kitsune, Dragon, Phoenix, or Cerberus?

Choose your target by the job you need done. A fast mount cuts down every trip to a distant egg, but a high-income pet is usually more useful sitting at your ranch, so the best travel pet and the best Cash pet do not have to be the same one.

The current roster labels Kitsune at 1 in 1Qi, Phoenix at 1 in 30T, and Dragon at 1 in 5Qi. Those are Index-style rarity labels, not automatic odds for every egg or Shop roll. In practical terms, ride Kitsune when your goal is to cover the map quickly, place Dragon when you want the strongest listed ranch income, and keep Phoenix or Cerberus as useful progression steps instead of selling them just because a later pet is faster.

How to Prepare for a Rare Egg Hunt in Ride A Pet

A rare egg run can fail after you find the egg if you leave without a place to hatch it or use a mount that cannot get you home in time. Set up the return trip before you follow the announcement.

• Leave a nest open at your ranch. The egg still needs a free nest when you bring it back. If every nest is full, make room before you start the hunt.
• Equip the fastest controllable pet you own. Kitsune is the ideal travel mount once you have it, while Phoenix can help with difficult vertical sections. Use a pet you can steer reliably rather than chasing a listed speed you do not yet own.
• Check Track and the Index. Use the server announcement or the live Index to confirm which egg is active and read the egg label before you pick anything up.
• Use the matching radar when it is stocked. The Gears Shop can provide radars for the relevant rarity, including an Ethereal Radar for late-game targets. A radar narrows the search, but the live announcement and the area route still matter because players can claim a spawn first.
• Treat Hatch Luck as an optional aid. The green Hatch Luck board at the ranch is a current strategy before an expensive hatch, but its exact formula, level costs, and guarantee threshold are not published. Its progress can also be rebuilt or lost around rebirth, so do not plan around an exact multiplier.

Once the nest, mount, and route are ready, start the run as soon as the target is announced. Rare-egg landmarks are search areas rather than permanent pins, so the goal is to sweep efficiently and return as soon as you secure the correct egg.

How to Find and Hatch Rare Eggs in Ride A Pet

Use this loop for any announced rare egg, including Black Hole, Cherub, and Solaris targets. The important checkpoint is not seeing an egg or picking it up. The run is complete only after the hatched pet appears in Pets or the Index.

1. Confirm the target before leaving. Check the announcement, Track, or Index and note the exact egg name. If you are using a radar, activate the one that matches the target rarity.
2. Ride to the current search area. Use your fastest suitable mount and sweep the documented landmarks for that egg. If the egg is not at the first landmark, continue the route instead of assuming the announcement was wrong.
3. Read the egg label before picking it up. Do not grab a nearby egg based only on its appearance. Confirm that it is the announced target, then pick it up.
4. Start back immediately. The game displays an Egg Will Break warning while you carry a rare egg. Treat the carry window as approximate and version-sensitive, not as a universal timer, and take the safest route home as soon as the pickup succeeds.
5. Place the egg in the open nest. Return to your plot, put the egg in a free nest, and dismount if the interaction asks you to. A pickup or an Index silhouette is not the final result.
6. Hatch and verify the result. Check the finished pet in Pets or the Index. Rare-egg associations improve your target selection, but they do not guarantee a particular hatch, so verify the actual pet before deciding whether to feed, ride, or sell anything.

If another player reaches the landmark first, the egg may be gone even though you followed the correct route. Move to the next documented area and keep checking the announcement. If you cannot place the egg when you return, your nest was not truly open, which is why clearing one before the run matters.

Where to Find Black Hole, Cherub, and Solaris Eggs

Black Hole and Cherub are announced Ethereal spawns. Their current route covers broad landmarks rather than guaranteed single coordinates, so sweep the areas in order and use the live egg label to confirm a find. For a Black Hole or Cherub announcement, sweep these areas:

1. Giant Tree: Check the top room and the branches.
2. Waterfall cave: Search inside the cave, then check the cliffs around the cave exit.
3. Forest-Desert cliff: Inspect the cliff near the beach where the biomes meet.
4. Desert Pyramid: Search around the Pyramid itself.
5. Pond beside the Pyramid: Enter the pond route and check the maze inside.

If the egg is missing from one of these spots, another player may have claimed it. That result does not invalidate the route. Keep moving through the remaining landmarks, and let the announcement, radar, and live Index determine whether a new target is still active.

Solaris Egg route

Solaris uses a similar Ethereal search but adds a current Grey Mountain check. Sweep the waterfall cave and its exit, the Giant Tree top and branches, Grey Mountain beyond the stream including its opening, and the Desert Pyramid and pond area. These are current search landmarks, not guaranteed fixed spawn points. If the cave and tree are empty, move to Grey Mountain before circling back through the Pyramid and pond route.

How to Get Kitsune and Phoenix from Rare Eggs

If you want Kitsune, chase Cherub; if you want Phoenix, chase Black Hole. Use those pairings to decide which announcement is worth chasing, but do not read them as guaranteed one-pet outcomes or as a complete public drop table. After every hatch, check the finished card in Pets or the Eggs catalog.

If movement is your priority, repeat the Cherub route when it is announced and aim for Kitsune. Kitsune's listed 1B base speed makes it the best travel target in the current roster. Phoenix is the Black Hole target and has a much lower listed base speed, but its practical flying and vertical-route utility makes it a useful bridge while you work toward later pets. In both cases, the egg association tells you where to focus, not what the hatch must produce.

How to Get Dragon in Ride A Pet: Shop Odds vs Index Rarity

Dragon guides show two very different numbers because they describe two different systems. Keep the labels separate before you decide whether a Shop attempt is worth your Cash or Robux.

The documented Dragon-specific route is the in-game Shop's Dragon Egg [Instant Hatch] panel. A captured third-party Shop panel lists Crocodile at 50%, Fox at 30%, T-Rex at 15%, Phoenix at 4%, and Dragon at 1%, with displayed roll bundles of 1, 3, 10, and 50. Treat those values as captured evidence, not permanent prices or a guarantee. Open the live Shop card, read the current result pool and final purchase prompt, set a spending limit, and treat every roll as an attempt. Some guides also report that a free Galaxy Egg can produce Dragon, but that route has not been verified through a complete recorded hatch. Do not plan your Dragon hunt around it or describe Galaxy as a confirmed free method. If the live Index later shows a different pool, use the in-game result and the final Shop prompt as the authority for that attempt.

How to Improve a Rare Pet With Food and Mutations

After a successful hatch, decide whether the pet is a keeper before you spend resources on it. The Food Shop near the central Track sells food that grants EXP and raises Age, and older pets can improve their movement and ranch earnings. You must be riding the pet or have it placed at the ranch before feeding it. Grass is the inexpensive always-stocked option, while rarer food gives more EXP at a much higher Cash cost, so feed pets you expect to keep rather than a temporary bridge.

Matching mutation weather can create an opportunity to change an eligible pet. Keep the target in the Pen or ride it when the matching weather appears. A pet left only in your inventory is not eligible, and weather mutations can replace weaker weather mutations, so inspect the pet card after the strike instead of assuming the result from the storm alone.

Rage currently gives a confirmed 4x Speed result. Void and Eternal have stronger confirmed Cash values, but their Speed values are not settled consistently enough to call them the fastest mutations. Which Pets Should You Keep for Rebirths in Ride A Pet?

Do not sell a slower pet just because a faster duplicate is now in your inventory. The current rebirth route uses these pet gates in order:

Horse → Fox → Unicorn → Phoenix → Kitsune → Kitsune → Dragon

Keep at least one required pet until the next rebirth is complete. The repeated Kitsune gate is especially easy to overlook, so do not sell your Kitsune between those two progression steps. Keep Dragon for the final gate, and only sell a spare after you have finished the rebirth that needs it.

For normal play, the cleanest setup is to ride your best current travel pet, place your best income pet at the ranch, and preserve any pet that appears in the rebirth route. Leave a nest open, wait for the next useful announcement, and repeat the egg run with the job-specific pet instead of chasing a single label for every task.
