Rebirth 1 is the gate. Finish it, use the glowing orange tree portal in the main map, and you're in the Halloween World. There, candy turns into Halloween Tokens, and Tokens buy the 350-Token Halloween Egg. A separate ritual with a Yin Piece and a Yang Piece is how you go after the secret Headless Horseman.
Candy spoils on a timer, so the loop is about getting it back fast. The end date is unsettled, so check the countdown above the portal before you plan a run.
Getting Into the Ride a Pet Halloween World
You need to finish Rebirth 1 before the event portal works. Update 4 made Rebirth requirements easier, but its patch notes don't list a Rebirth 1 cost. Open the Rebirth panel in-game to see the requirement. Older guides list $1 million and a Horse pet for Rebirth 1, and those figures predate the update.
The portal sits in the main map next to the Ranches, behind the Gears Shop. Look for the glowing orange tree surrounded by pumpkins and hay. On a keyboard, walk up to it and hold E.
Once you're inside, the candy loop is the part to get right. The next section covers where candy comes from and how to get it back before it spoils.
How to Get Halloween Tokens in Ride a Pet
Tokens come from candy. Each piece has to reach the green Drop-Off zone before its timer runs out, and then the Tokens land in your balance.
Where to Find Candy
Candy comes from three places, and each one works a little differently.

Delivering Candy Before It Spoils
Candy is on a clock. The “Candy Will Spoil” timer starts when you pick a piece up, and spoiled candy pays no Tokens. Get it back in this order:
- Follow the house marker and the green arrow back to the Drop-Off pad.
- Step into the green Drop-Off zone to deliver.
- Watch for the token popup and a rising balance. That's your confirmation the delivery counted.
High-rarity candy pays more but spoils faster, so a rare piece found far from the Drop-Off is a race. Some candy also carries a curse that reverses your controls or limits your vision. That makes the walk back harder, so head back as soon as you pick candy up.
Payouts vary by candy type, so check the popup after each delivery to see what you earned.
Halloween Egg Cost, Pets and Hatching in Ride a Pet
The Halloween Egg costs 350 Halloween Tokens at the Halloween Eggs stand in the event area. The stand's menu shows the price and your token balance.
The egg has Ethereal rarity, and its pet pool includes six pets:
- Pumpkin Toad
- Ghostweaver
- Ghost Cat
- Raptor
- Sabertooth
- Skeletal Dragon
The egg lists a base Luck of 1 trillion. That's a displayed stat, not a percentage, so it doesn't tell you the chance of getting any single pet.
Hatching the Egg
- Buy the egg for 350 Halloween Tokens. It goes into your egg inventory.
- Place it in an open nest at your base to hatch it.
Wild Halloween Eggs
Halloween Eggs can also turn up in the world, and an Eternal Radar can track them. Wild eggs are rare and don't have a spot you can count on, so the stand is the dependable way to get one.
How to Get Headless Horseman in Ride a Pet
The Headless Horseman is the ritual reward. The Headless Egg that leads to it is separate from the 350-Token Halloween Egg. The ritual needs one Yin Piece and one Yang Piece, and having both opens the Yinyang Cave.
- Find one Yin Piece and one Yang Piece. Either can spawn at random around the event area. Neither has a known spot or timer, so search the area rather than chasing coordinates.
- With both pieces, open the Yinyang Cave at its gate.
- Check the result. Each opening has a reported 0.1% chance (1 in 1,000) of spawning the Headless Egg. If it appears, it hatches instantly into the Headless Horseman.
You can run the ritual alone, or share a piece with a friend. If the Headless Egg appears, both of you can take it. At 1 in 1,000 per opening, the Horseman is a long shot, so don't count on it.
When Does the Ride a Pet Halloween Event End?
Published end dates disagree, so plan around the countdown above the portal instead of one date.
Several guides list November 7, 2026. The Roblox event window, as listed on the Ride a Pet wiki hub, ends October 17, 2026, at 9 a.m. ET (6 a.m. PT). Update 4 went live October 10, and the portal countdown reportedly showed about 28 days that day.
The two may be different clocks: one for the platform event window and one for in-game activity. Read the countdown above the portal and check it before each session.
