Parkour Racing in Ride a Pet pays out two different ways. The competitive mode, which the in-game banner calls the Lava Race, gives a Halloween Egg to the top three finishers. The solo Lava Obby pays 100 Tokens when you clear the course within 90 seconds. Both modes sit behind Rebirth 1, so that's where you start.
How to Unlock Parkour Racing in Ride a Pet
Finishing Rebirth 1 opens the Halloween portal, and both modes start from there. Rebirth 1 has been listed at a Horse pet and 1 million Coins. Update 4 eased the Rebirth requirements, though, so open the Rebirth panel and go by the cash and pet it shows before you save or farm for either. The full list is on the Rebirths page.

Through the Pumpkin-Tree Portal
- Find the glowing orange portal inside a pumpkin tree beside the Ranches.
- Walk into it. On a keyboard, hold E.
- You arrive in Halloween World.
The event is time-limited, so follow the portal timer to see how much of it is left.
The Skeleton NPC
Bones, the skeleton NPC, stands in the event area between the AFK Zone and the Candy Drop-Off. Talk to Bones and pick Start the obby, or the race sign-up when it's open.
How to Join the Lava Race for a Halloween Egg
The race isn't an open queue. It runs on a timer, so watch the banner at Bones and sign up as the start gets close. The race seems to come around about every two hours. Treat that as a rough guide and go by the in-game countdown.
Mount and Course Tips
The race uses the pet you're riding when you sign up, so pick your mount before you talk to Bones. A fast mount with reliable jumps helps most. The pets page has mount stats to compare, and the guide to the rarest and fastest pets helps if you're still choosing. On the course, time your jumps near the platform edges and keep your landings clean.
Finishing in the Top Three
The first three finishers each get one Halloween Egg.
How to Earn Halloween Tokens in Lava Obby
Lava Obby is the solo option. Clear the course within 90 seconds and you get 100 Tokens.

- Talk to Bones and choose Start the obby.
- Ride a ground pet. The course requires one.
- Finish within 90 seconds. Falling into the lava sends you back to the start.
Cooldown and the READY Sign
After each run, you're on a personal cooldown of roughly 24 to 28 minutes. Watch for the READY sign before you go back in, since the exact timing can vary.
Lava Race or Lava Obby: Which Pays Off More?
The race pays the egg directly. The obby pays Tokens, and those Tokens can buy the same egg.
| Lava Race | Lava Obby | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry | Sign up with Bones when the race is about to start | Start with Bones and choose Start the obby |
| Pet | The pet you're riding when you sign up | A ground pet |
| Reward | One Halloween Egg for a top-three finish | 100 Tokens for a clear within 90 seconds |
| Timing | Scheduled by the in-game timer | Repeatable, with a cooldown between runs |
The Halloween Egg is an Ethereal egg with 1 trillion base Luck, and it can hatch six pets. The shop sells it for 350 Tokens. Each obby clear pays 100, so one egg takes four clears, since three only get you to 300. That makes a top-three finish worth about three and a half clears.
Take the race if you want the egg directly and can work around the timer. Take the obby if you want Tokens you can earn whenever the cooldown is clear. Candy deliveries and the AFK Zone also earn Tokens, and the Halloween guide covers the candy loop and the full egg pool.
If you're waiting on the next race, run the obby once its cooldown has cleared, then head back to Bones as the start gets close.
