Update 9 is built around the Halloween Dimension. You reach it through the spooky portal at spawn, and inside you'll find three new biomes, 18 new pets, a Candy Corn loop built on roaming enemies, and a hidden quest that unlocks a ride on the Phantom Express.
Roblox lists the event as running October 17 to 24, 2026. That listing doesn't say how long each feature stays open, so don't put off the parts you want.
What Is the Halloween Dimension in Steal an Egg?
The portal sits beside the Trails Shop at spawn, and it's marked OPEN. Step through and you're in the Halloween map, which keeps the egg stealing you already know and adds roaming enemies to it.
Entry may also depend on a Speed target. The exact number isn't confirmed yet, so check the portal's requirement before you grind toward one.
Steal an Egg Halloween Biomes and 18 New Pets
The dimension has three new biomes: the Graveyard, Haunted Swamp, and Abandoned Manor. Each one has its own six new pets to collect and hatch, so you'll need to visit all three to find all 18.
The update gives the counts but not the pet names yet, so the 18 is the number to trust for now.
Candy Corn, Halloween Eggs, and the Blood Moon
Candy Corn is the currency for the event eggs, and you earn it two ways: returning eggs and defeating monsters.
Earning Candy Corn
Defeat enemies with the Bat to earn Candy Corn. The Blood Moon doubles those drops, so it's the time to farm them. How often it comes around isn't confirmed yet.
The Store Egg and the Event Egg
The store's Halloween Egg and the event egg are two separate routes, and they cost different currencies.

The 12 pets from the Robux egg are separate from the 18 biome pets, so don't add them together.
The update also names a Pumpkin Collection Event alongside the Blood Moon. Its tasks and rewards aren't confirmed yet.
Echo’s Memories Quest and the Phantom Express
Echo the Ghost Dog has lost his memories, and finishing his quest is how you earn the Phantom Express Ticket. Reuniting him with his owner might also earn you a special reward.
Getting the Phantom Express Ticket
- Find Echo's four lost items and return them to him. The Echo quest guide has the exact spot for each one.
- Follow Echo to the Ghost Fisherman.
- Take the Haunted Rod.
- Finish the Haunted Rod's fishing minigame to earn the Phantom Express Ticket.
Riding the Phantom Express
The ticket unlocks access to the train. The Phantom Express arrives every 30 minutes, on the hour and half-hour, and carries ticket holders to a new area.
Haunted Spirits and the Spectral Mutation
In the new area, use the Ghost Vacuum to collect ghosts for Haunted Spirits. Then trade your Haunted Spirits at an altar for the Spectral Mutation item.
The mutation's effect and price aren't confirmed yet, so read the altar before you spend any Haunted Spirits. If the train is your goal, start with Echo's four items. Everything else in the chain depends on them.
