When The Giant attacks in Sell Fries, your job is simple: get out of the red circle on the ground, then get back inside the shop. It only appears at night, which starts at 8 p.m. in-game.
Spotting The Giant at Night
The Giant is a huge monster that towers over the buildings across the street from the shop. Its glowing red eyes fire the beams, and its massive skeletal hands can hold entire buildings.
When it spawns, “THE GIANT!” appears at the top of your screen, along with a reminder to stay indoors. Its beams can reach you anywhere outside the shop.
Your screen gets static just before The Giant targets your character. A red glowing circle marks each beam's strike zone before it fires. Clear the circle as soon as it appears.
How to Dodge The Giant's Lasers
A beam can hit hard, so move out of each red circle right away. When one appears:
- Find the red circle and check whether you're standing inside it.
- Run or roll all the way out of it.
- Stay out of the circle until the beam has fired.
- Once the beam is done, use The Giant's pause to get back inside the shop.
That pause is also your window for outdoor work. If a stuck robot or another anomaly needs attention, handle it during the pause, then head in. Don't push your luck with it.
If you have the Walk Faster perk, it adds 15% to your movement speed, which helps you clear circles and reach the door sooner. It's a helpful perk, not a requirement. You can survive the night without it.
Can You Block The Giant's Lasers?
No. No item can block the beams, and the Cross won't help you either. Most monsters in Sell Fries are scared of the Cross, but The Giant isn't. Moving out of the circle is the only real defense.
When Does The Giant Leave in Sell Fries?
Once you're inside the shop, The Giant won't target you. Stay in until the next day begins, because that's when it leaves. Then go back to frying and serving customers.
