The Void Boss, also called the Dark Spirit, is a limited-time event boss in Ride a Pet, a Roblox game about hunting eggs and riding the pets they hatch. You reach its boss room through a glowing portal at Heaven's Gate, a small island floating high above the regular bases, and you need a flying pet to get up there. To beat it, step through the portal while it's open, then fly through the rings in the boss room before the 10-minute timer runs out.

How to Reach the Void Boss Portal at Heaven's Gate
Heaven's Gate floats above the regular bases, so you have to fly up to it. Ride a flying pet, keep climbing until you reach the cloud island, and look for the portal in one corner of it. The portal is a glowing purple ring. Approach it and press E to step through.
The portal doesn't stay open all the time. About a minute before it opens, the game shows a server-wide notice at the top of the screen. When the entrance actually opens, a banner reads "The Dark Spirit Stirs!" and the gate stays open for 120 seconds.
Because that window is short, be near the purple ring before the banner appears instead of flying up after it.

How Ring Damage Works Against the Dark Spirit
You damage the Dark Spirit by flying through its rings. There are three regular ring types:
- Easy (green, outer track): 75 damage
- Medium (yellow, perimeter): 150 damage
- Hard (red, arena): 225 damage
Each ring has its own timer. A chain is a run of rings you clear one after another before their timers expire. Stick with Easy rings when you're aiming for reliable chains instead of switching to Hard rings for the bigger number. Fly through each ring before its countdown expires to keep the chain going.
Gold Core Rings, the Enrage Phase, and the 10-Minute Time Limit
During the fight, the boss exposes its core. A banner reads "THE CORE IS EXPOSED! DIVE THROUGH THE GOLD RINGS!" and each gold core ring deals 400 damage, more than any regular ring. Aim for those rings while the core is open.

Later, the boss becomes enraged. The banner "THE SPIRIT IS ENRAGED!" marks that phase, and core rings appear again.
The whole fight is capped at 10 minutes, so don't waste time waiting for an opening. The fight ends when the boss's health reaches zero, and a "Spirit Defeated!" screen confirms the kill.
How Many Feathers and Mastery Points a Void Boss Win Gives
Defeating the boss alone doesn't pay the full reward. You need at least two full ring chains during the fight to earn the 250 Feathers. Two chains don't defeat the boss on their own, though. You still have to bring its health to zero.
Each defeat also gives 1 Mastery point. Additional Mastery points depend on the ring chains you complete.
Mastery points raise your Mastery tier, and your tier decides which rewards you can claim. Feathers alone won't unlock a reward.
Ride a Pet Heaven Mastery Rewards and How to Claim Them
Feathers are spent on the Heaven Mastery track. Each reward has a Feather cost and a tier you must reach first.
| Mastery tier | Reward | Feathers |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Blackhole Egg | 150 |
| 2 | Instant Hatch Key | 250 |
| 3 | Cherub Egg | 600 |
| 4 | Volcanic Egg | 700 |
| 5 | x2 Cash Income Boost (1 hour) | 900 |
| 6 | Seraph Egg | 1,500 |
| 7 | Ethereal Pegasus | 10,000 |
Open Mastery by pressing the feather-icon button on the left side of the screen while you're at Heaven's Gate. The track shows your tier, the Feathers you need to progress, and which rewards are locked or unlocked. When a tier is complete, press Claim on it. Void Boss wins are the main source of Feathers, so each fight you finish moves you closer to the next tier.
