All 226 Weapons and Their Combat Effects in Mewgenics

Updated on November 1, 2026 (3 days ago)

Mewgenics weapons are items a cat can hold in its weapon slot, giving it an extra attack on top of its normal one. The game is a turn-based tactics game played on a grid, where you fight with cats you breed across generations. Weapons range from sticks and bottles to rifles, lasers and bombs, and each one works a little differently. Knowing how they are sorted, where they come from and how they wear out will help you use them well.

How Weapons Work in Mewgenics

A weapon sits in a cat's weapon slot and adds one more attack to its turn. Weapons normally work once per turn unless their description says otherwise, and some only work once per battle. They come in a few styles: some strike up close, some shoot along a line, and others are tossed onto a spot, sometimes leaving a puddle or a patch of glass behind. A few also give a passive bonus just for being equipped, such as extra Thorns or extra Health Regen.

Mewgenics Weapon Rarity Explained

Weapons are sorted into the tiers Common, Uncommon, Rare and Very Rare. The tier decides how often a weapon turns up, so the rarer the tier, the less often you'll see it. Very Rare weapons are the hardest to get, since they can't come from ordinary battle loot or regular treasure chests. A few weapons have no rarity at all, and Quest and Side Quest weapons sit outside the regular tiers because they come from specific story sources.

Where to Find Weapons in Mewgenics

You can pick up weapons in shops, at treasure nodes, from random events and in combat. Some are tied to a particular event, boss or ability, so you only see them when that thing comes up. Enemies carry weapons too, but any that belong only to enemies can't be taken by you. Quest and Side Quest weapons come from specific characters and story events, so you get them by taking part in those quests.

Weapon Uses, Breakage and Repairs

Weapons don't last forever. Many have a limited number of uses, shown as a fixed number or a range such as 8 to 12, and they break once those uses are gone. Others can break at random instead, like the Bone Club at 15 percent per use or the Bag o' series at 5 percent.

Gear you take from storage into a run comes back Worn, and Worn gear has about a 50 percent chance to break once you get home. Anything you pick up during the run avoids that. If a cat's body is destroyed, its equipped weapons are lost with it.

The Ball-Peen Hammer can keep gear going. When you use it on an ally, it adds a use to that ally's gear instead of attacking, though it can break 5 percent of the time. Some weapons can even be cashed in, since Money Bags turn into coins when you return home, from 10 for the Small version up to 100 for the Huge one. A Geode pays 15 to 30 coins when it breaks.

Weapon Sets and Bonuses

Some weapons belong to item sets, which reward you for wearing several matching pieces on the same cat. Wearing three or more pieces from one set on the same cat unlocks that set's bonus. Sets such as Hunter, Bone, Fighter and Cool include weapons alongside other gear, so a weapon's set is a good clue to what it pairs well with.

Which Mewgenics Weapons Matter Most

The weapon that matters most depends on your cat and the fight, but a few stand out on effect alone. The Revolver fires in a straight line and can instantly kill a regular enemy, though it only has six uses. Mjolnir is a ranged throw that returns to the cat and hits with electricity at the top of its flight.

The Alien Blaster has no rarity tier and never runs out of uses, and its laser gains 1 damage with each shot for the rest of the battle. The Arrow of Infinity sends the cat's next basic attack 5 tiles farther, ignores shields, can't miss and gets a 100 percent bonus to crit chance, though it works only once per battle.

FAQ

Q.

Can Monk cats use weapons in Mewgenics?

No. The Monk's weapon slot holds an innate item called the Monk Fist, which gives an extra basic attack each turn. Its trinket slot holds the Stance Switcher, which lets the Monk switch between melee and ranged stances. Neither item can be removed, so weapons aren't an option for Monks.

Q.

Do weapons work on bosses in Mewgenics?

Some weapons treat bosses differently. Persuasion Device and Polymorph Remote only work on regular enemies, so they can't be used on bosses. Demon Core still marks a target to die at the end of its next turn, but against a boss it puts the boss to sleep instead.

Q.

What does the Nuclear Gun do in Mewgenics?

The Nuclear Gun deals 40 damage to its target and 20 to every other unit on the field, your own cats included, and it has a 20 percent chance to break each time you use it.
