A familiar can be useful for very different reasons. Some boost damage, crits, meter, farm income, upgrade cost, or damage-over-time output. Others exist for one specific unit and change how that unit plays. Rarity helps you spot the bigger chase items, while the access route and effect type show what belongs on a unit.
Watch corruption and reroll rules
