Grow a Garden Beanstalk Event Explained

Updated on August 30, 2026 (about 5 hours ago)

Grow a Garden's 2026 Beanstalk Event is a shared, timed event that launched on August 29, 2026. Feed Jack the plant trait he requests, help fill the shared 900-point meter, climb the finished tree, and use your personal growth count at Goliath's shops. Check the live Grow a Garden event schedule for the current end time.

Feed Jack’s requested plant types to grow the Beanstalk

Jack stands at the central event area and asks for one plant trait at a time. His request refreshes every hour. The 2026 traits are Berry, Flower, Fruit, Leafy, Vegetable, Woody, Prickly, Stalky, and Tropical.

Use this loop:

  1. Check Jack's request. Read the active trait before choosing crops.
  2. Submit matching crops. Hand harvested plants with that trait to Jack.
  3. Fill the shared meter. The Beanstalk fully grows when the event meter reaches 900 contribution points.
  4. Wait for your next turn. Your personal contribution cooldown lasts 15 minutes.

The leaderboard records contributions separately from the shared goal. The top contributor receives an extra reward, so you can still compete for that bonus while the rest of the event fills the meter. The shared meter handles teamwork, while your personal cooldown keeps its own timetable.

Climb the Beanstalk, then unlock Goliath’s shops

When the meter reaches 900, the fully grown Beanstalk stays active for 20 minutes. Climb during that window, collect orb rewards, and claim up to five rewards per player.

The route ends at a portal on Cloud Island, where Goliath's Goods is waiting.

Your personal Beanstalk growth count controls the progression below.

Personal Beanstalk growsUnlock
2Sprout Egg and Mandrake in the main shop
3Sprout Crate and Twist Berry
4Silver Fertilizer
5Canary Melon
6Amberheart
7Spriggan and portal access to Goliath's Goods
8Beanpod Crate
9Beanpod Egg
12Skycastle Fence

The main shop follows your personal growth count. The separate Friendship Shop advances when you feed the Giant, so use the first track for event unlocks and the second for friendship progress. One track cannot do the other's homework.

The 2026 return adds new crops, pets, and quality-of-life changes

The returning event brings more than the climb:

  • New crops: Aurum Spire is a Transcendent crop that can mutate a nearby fruit with Gilded every 10 minutes, with a lower chance of Beanbound. Nimbush and Twist Berry are also 2026 additions.
  • Beanpod rewards: The Beanpod Egg and Beanpod Crate join the event rewards. The egg has four listed pets: Goose, Vine Serpent, Cloud Sprite, and Jabberwock. Check the Grow a Garden pet choices when deciding where a new pet fits.
  • Achievements and décor: New achievements cover Transcendent plants and Prismatic pets. The Silver Transcendent Seed Pack is tied to the Transcendent core-plant achievement tier.
  • Quality-of-life changes: You can rename pet loadouts and garden slots, save hotbars, search cosmetics, and load large gardens in parts. The update also includes bug fixes and performance improvements.

For wider crop and pet lookups, use the Grow a Garden wiki after you finish planning your event goals.

FAQ

Q.

Does reaching the 900-point meter unlock the whole shop?

No. It grows the shared Beanstalk. Main-shop items and portal access use your personal growth count, while the Friendship Shop advances through feeding the Giant.

Q.

Does the Beanpod Egg guarantee a Jabberwock?

No. The egg is a random pool with four possible pets: Goose, Vine Serpent, Cloud Sprite, and Jabberwock.
