Prism Plume is a Divine crop added with the Fairy Event on October 10, 2026. Three sources can give you the seed, but only one has odds worth planning around: the regular Fairy Chest, with a listed 0.5% chance. You earn chests through the Wishing Well's Fairy Favors, and those ask for Glimmering crops. Here's where the seed drops, how to farm the chests, and what to do when the Well wants a crop you don't have.
Where Prism Plume Drops in Grow a Garden
Three sources are listed for the seed, and they don't offer the same odds.
| Source | Listed chance for Prism Plume | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Fairy Chest | 0.5% | The clearest odds. You can earn these chests from the Wishing Well's Fairy Favors. |
| Exotic Fairy Chest | Not reliably listed | It's listed in the Limited Time Shop. Its listed odds add up to more than 100%, and no price is confirmed, so check the in-game shop before you buy. |
| Rainbow Sack | Not reliably listed | It's listed as a source, but no reliable odds are given. Treat it as a bonus, not a plan. |
The regular Fairy Chest is the route to plan around. The 0.5% is the best number available, but it's still a chance, not a promise. On average, it takes about 200 chest openings to get one seed. After 200 openings, you have about a 63% chance of at least one Prism Plume and about a 37% chance of coming up empty.
Keep the two chances apart. The Wishing Well gives you a chance at a Fairy Chest. Then the chest gives you a 0.5% chance at the seed.
How to Farm Fairy Chests at the Wishing Well
Fairy Favors only work during the Fairy Event, which runs from October 10 through October 17, 2026.
- Visit the Wishing Well during the Fairy Event.
- Check which crops the Well wants for the stage you're on.
- Grow or collect those crops and submit them. Most requests need Glimmering, so see the next section for ways to get it.
- Choose one of the three reward options. If a Fairy Chest is one of them, select it.
- Open the chest to roll for Prism Plume. Fairy Chests also hold several seeds and pets from the event.
- Move to the next stage and repeat until you've finished all five.
Each stage's Favor draws from its own reward tier, and the tier sets the odds for each of the three options:
| Stage (Tier) | Stage payout (Fairy Points) | Fairy Chest chance per option | Fairy Chests if you pick one |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stage 1 (Tier 1) | 500 | Not available | None |
| Stage 2 (Tier 2) | 550 | 7.69% | 1 |
| Stage 3 (Tier 3) | 1,200 | 17.24% | 1 |
| Stage 4 (Tier 4) | 2,300 | 22.73% | 1 |
| Stage 5 (Tier 5) | 5,000 | 27.03% | 3 |
Stage 1 can't give you a chest, so the hunt starts at Stage 2. Stage 5 has the best chance per option, and it pays three chests when you pick one. Each percentage applies to a single option, not the whole Favor, so a finished Favor still isn't a guaranteed chest.
Other options can include Fairy Bells, Fairy Crates, Enchanted Seed Packs and Fairy Points, depending on the tier. The options are randomized, so some Favors won't offer a chest at all.
Fairy Points and the Repeat Run
The five stage payouts add up to 9,550 Fairy Points. Once you've finished the line, you can repeat it by paying 7,500 Fairy Points. A full run covers one repeat with 2,050 Fairy Points left over, before other rewards. Each repeat gives you another pass through the reward tiers, and more chances at a chest.
What to Do When the Wishing Well Asks for a Crop You Don't Have
Most Wishing Well requests need Glimmering. You can get it four ways:
- Touch a roaming Fairy.
- Use Fairy weather, which spawns more fairies.
- Use Mutation Spray: Glimmering.
- Use a Glimmering Sprite or another pet with the Glimmering pet mutation.
A Fairy Targeter raises the chance that nearby crops turn Glimmering when fairies pass. Stages 4 and 5 pull from the biggest crop pools, so plant those crops ahead of time, and keep them near a Fairy Targeter if you have one.
Stage 5 can ask for a Burning Bud or an Elder Strawberry. If you don't have one, the run can stall at the stage that pays three chests.
A few event crops can be accepted without Glimmering, but the lists disagree on which ones. Go by the order on your screen. Crop requests have changed for this event, so older crop lists may not match your Well.
When the Requested Crop Is Missing
Some players say any other Glimmering crop can fill the Well's meter and complete the order when the one you need is missing. That workaround isn't confirmed, and the reports don't give a fruit count or fill speed. Follow the live prompt, and don't plan a run around a substitute until you've seen it work.
Prism Plume Stats and Harvest Behavior
Prism Plume is a Divine crop, and it's multi-harvest, so one plant can give you more than one harvest. Its fruit is colorful and wing-shaped. Those traits, plus the value below, make it worth chasing. The 160,000-Sheckle figure is a listed average, not a guaranteed sale price.
| Stat | Listed value |
|---|---|
| Average fruit value | 160,000 Sheckles |
| Average fruit weight | 8.00 kg |
| Minimum fruit weight | 5.60 kg |
| Huge chance | 0.26% (1 in 380) |
| Plant growth time | 12 hours, 10 minutes |
| Fruit growth time | 1 hour, 4 minutes, 52 seconds |
Fruit weight and mutations change what each fruit sells for. The Grow a Garden Crop Value Calculator can estimate a specific fruit before you sell it.
Once you have the seed, plant it soon. Multi-harvest means each harvest is another shot at a high-value sale.
