Get a Catalyst Hen from a Colossus Egg, then place it in the Coop or Incubator. Catalyst Hen is a very rare Secret chicken and the starting producer for the Trick Egg loop.
After the first Trick Egg hatches, inspect the new chicken's Lays panel. Some results can continue producing Trick Eggs, so that panel tells you whether the chain can keep going.
Get a Catalyst Hen from a Colossus Egg
The first step is opening Colossus Eggs until Catalyst Hen appears. The Colossus Egg panel lists Catalyst Hen below 1%, so treat this as a rare hunt rather than a quick unlock.
For the full prerequisite route, follow the Colossus Egg steps before starting the Trick Egg cycle.

Once you have Catalyst Hen, deploy it in the Coop or place it in the Incubator. The Incubator currently shows Rebirth 3 as its unlock requirement. If it is locked, use the Coop and follow the requirement shown in your game.
Use Catalyst Hen to produce Trick Eggs

- Deploy Catalyst Hen. Place the chicken in your available laying setup.
- Choose the Coop or Incubator. Use either option to start its egg cycle.
- Wait for the timer. The current panel shows one laying cycle every 10 minutes.
- Collect the output. Take the egg when the cycle finishes.
- Check the egg type. The panel currently shows a 98% Colossus Egg result and a 2% Trick Egg result. These values can change after an update, so use your live panel as the final check.
- Hatch the Trick Egg. Use the same egg-hatching flow as other eggs, then inspect the new chicken's
Layspanel.
If the output is another Colossus Egg, run the cycle again. A completed cycle does not guarantee a Trick Egg, because the Trick Egg result is a chance.
Know what a Trick Egg can hatch and keep the loop going
The listed Trick Egg pool has five results:
| Chicken | Rarity |
|---|---|
| Domino Chick | Rare |
| Checkmate Hen | Epic |
| Puzzle Hen | Legendary |
| High Roller Rooster | Cosmic |
| Ace Rooster | Secret |
Ace Rooster is the chase result, but no fixed hatch count guarantees it. Check every new chicken's Lays panel before you sell or fuse it. Keep at least one producer active, or the chain ends with your last Trick Egg.
Before fusing a spare, use the fusion guide for the system rules. The Promotions guide covers the wider update mechanics around Battle Charms and duplicate chickens.
