Ghost Ranger costs 1,000 Candy at the Halloween Shop in 99 Nights in the Forest. This ranged combat class starts with a Ghost Crossbow that shoots through enemies. To level it up, shoot enemies with that weapon to unlock protection against projectiles and another bolt before reloading.

How to unlock Ghost Ranger in 99 Nights in the Forest
Buy Ghost Ranger from the Halloween Shop in the lobby while the seasonal shop offers it. You need Candy, which you earn through Halloween activities.
To work toward the purchase:
- Trick-or-Treat at houses. Wear costumes to increase your Candy earnings.
- Explore the Hedge Maze. Open its chests and complete the maze to earn Candy.
- Save 1,000 Candy and return to the Halloween Shop. Select Ghost Ranger and purchase it.
Keep food and your route back to camp in mind while collecting Candy. You still need to survive the forest’s normal threats, so avoid stretching a collection trip further than your supplies allow.

How to level the Ghost Ranger class
Equip Ghost Ranger and use its Ghost Crossbow to work toward the shooting targets in the table. Open the class entry in the Classes menu to check your progress toward the next upgrade.
Make the crossbow your main weapon when working on these objectives. Shooting with another weapon does not meet a requirement that specifically calls for the Ghost Crossbow.
The Level 2 perk gives you occasional protection against incoming shots. Keep moving and use cover when fighting ranged enemies; the chance to let a projectile pass through you is useful backup, but you cannot depend on it for every attack.
Level 3 gives you one more attack before reloading. That extra shot helps when several enemies are approaching together, especially if you would otherwise need to reload before finishing the group.
How to use the Ghost Crossbow effectively
The Ghost Crossbow has unlimited reserve ammunition, but you still need to reload. It holds six bolts before the Level 3 upgrade and seven afterward.
Its main advantage is piercing: a bolt can continue through an enemy and hit another target behind it. When several enemies approach, reposition so they form a line before shooting. That makes better use of each attack than firing across a scattered group.
Reload before approaching another group, and leave enough room to retreat while the weapon is empty. Unlimited ammunition removes the need to collect replacement bolts, but managing the loaded shots still matters during a fight.
