Slayers 2 Roguelike Dungeons Guide: How to Start, Pick Cards, and Earn Tokens

Updated on October 5, 2026 (about 2 hours ago)

Slayers 2's Ouwigahara Roguelike mode asks you to build your character during the run instead of bringing your finished loadout. You enter with basic gear, clear enemy waves, choose cards as the run progresses, and protect your hearts long enough to reach Token milestones.

The menu path is easy to confuse with normal Ouwigahara, which uses a different progression route and currency. Here is how to queue for the Roguelike mode, choose cards that cover your build's weaknesses, and spend the separate Ouwigahara Tokens.

How to start Slayers 2 Roguelike Dungeons

Open the Main Menu and select Hub. Choose Ouwigahara Roguelike, then queue for the mode. The game connects you to the run and starts the temporary build.

You do not need the level 65 forge quest or the Blacksmith Togane portal route used by normal Ouwigahara. Those instructions belong to the separate dungeon mode, so do not use them to find the Roguelike queue. If you are still building a regular Slayers 2 character, the beginner progression guide covers that path.

How a Slayers 2 Roguelike run works

A Roguelike run resets your combat setup. The confirmed starting baseline is Fists and a Basic Katana, while your normal skills, stats, skill trees, and equipment are unavailable at the start. You may also start with a few Potions, but the starter supply can vary, so do not rely on them to enter or progress through the mode.

As you clear enemy waves and move through floors, the game offers random cards. These can add Breathing or Demon Art skills, weapons, clan effects, and stat upgrades to the temporary build. Cards arrive as the run progresses, so choose each offer for the weakness in front of you instead of planning around a fixed number of offers.

Each floor asks you to solve the next weakness in the build. Clear the current wave, take the card that keeps the run functional, and continue until you reach the next milestone. A flashy damage option is not useful if you still cannot approach enemies safely or control a crowded wave.

Hearts are your survival limit. Poor card choices or lost hearts can end the run early, and a defeated player returns to the reward area. If you are chasing a milestone, protect your hearts and plan around the last payout you can reach consistently.

Best cards to pick in Slayers 2 Roguelike Dungeons

There is no single best card for every run because the offers are random and your current build changes from floor to floor. Choose the option that fixes the biggest problem you have right now.

If your run is missingCard priorityWhy it helps
A safe way to damage enemiesA ranged option or another form of safe pokeYou can keep dealing damage without standing in every attack.
Reliable wave clearArea damageGroups of enemies take damage together, leaving less time for a wave to overwhelm you.
A way to interrupt or slow crowded wavesCrowd controlControl creates room to attack and protects hearts when several enemies close in.
Damage during skill cooldownsA skill that covers the rotation gapYou keep pressure on enemies instead of waiting helplessly for one attack.
Damage that is already enoughMovement or defenseSurviving longer matters more than adding a duplicate attack.
A useful answer from the current offerA stat cardA direct stat gain can be better than a skill that repeats a role you already have.

Start by making damage safe, then add area damage or crowd control if waves are the problem. Once the run can clear enemies reliably, use later offers to protect hearts or cover movement and cooldown gaps. A stat card is a sensible choice when none of the offered skills fixes a real weakness.

Slayers 2 Roguelike Token rewards

The current V0.2 reward table pays Tokens at the milestones below. Each value is the payout for that milestone, not the total held after reaching it.

MilestoneOuwigahara Tokens
101
201
304
404
506
608
7010
8012
9016

A full climb through the listed milestones pays 82 Tokens. The larger payouts arrive later, so extending a run beyond the early floors is what makes a successful climb worth the effort. Older guides that show 42 Tokens use the first V0.2 table. The revised table above is the current reward summary.

How to spend Ouwigahara Tokens in Slayers 2

After the run, use the Token shop or open Changer Zeni's Show Tokens trade menu in the reward area. Ouwigahara Tokens have their own uses and should not be confused with the ordinary Ouwigahara Tower points from the normal dungeon.

The current exchanges and shop options are:

  • Limited gear: Rotating outfits and accessories appear in the Limited selection. Exact cosmetic prices are not included here because the rack changes.
  • Series materials: A Series material costs 20 Tokens.
  • Wen: Exchange one Token for 7,500 Wen.
  • Mastery: Exchange one Token for 5,000 Mastery.

Pick the exchange that matches your next goal. Save for a Limited item if you want a rotating cosmetic, buy a Series material when you need that specific crafting resource, or use Wen and Mastery when those are the resources holding back regular progression. Spending all 82 Tokens on Wen would give 615,000 Wen, while spending them all on Mastery would give 410,000 Mastery. Those are full-balance exchange totals, not extra rewards, so either choice uses Tokens that could have gone toward gear or materials.

Lava Dungeon and Roguelike titles

Lava Dungeon can appear as a floor map, so the route can change between runs. Horses are disabled in Ouwigahara, which means you cannot rely on a mount while moving through the mode.

Roguelike titles can also add run perks. There are 19 Roguelike titles, with perks such as a starting card, an extra heart, or a free reroll. The Unwritten title reportedly protects your first fall by respawning you on the spawn pad. These perks can improve a run, but they are not requirements for joining the queue.

Use your next run to fix the first role your build is missing, then judge the build by the highest milestone you can repeat instead of one lucky Summit attempt.
