You roll a clan, then fight and turn in quests from Windy Peak. Each level gives you three skill points. Put the early ones into movement and survival, or the next trainer is a long walk you cannot finish.
At level 25, Slayers learn one Breathing Style, a sword move set, from a trainer. Demons drop to -40 reputation, find Muzan, finish his quest, and drink his blood for a Blood Demon Art, the Demon move set. Slayers keep questing until Final Selection, the Slayer exam, opens at level 45. Clear its objectives, beat the Hand Demon, and turn it in. A clear gives you a uniform and a crow. After that, keep upgrading your weapon and skill tree.

Trainers and NPCs:
Trainers teach breathing styles and fighting styles. Other contacts open quests, locked shops, fishing, and the route to becoming a Demon. Most of them wait on a level, a faction, or a short errand, and the coin they charge is Wen. You can hold one fighting style at a time, and Zurinyz teaches Reaping Blades, a fighting style separate from the Reaper Evil Art.
Clans:
A clan is the bonus set you roll with spins, and you can reroll it when the passive does not fit. The percentage on a clan is the chance of its rarity band, not of that one name, so a 0.1% Supreme roll can still be the wrong Supreme. Match the keep to your kit: Rengoku for Flame Breathing, Agatsuma for Thunder, Urokodaki when Water should stay on without a partner, and Kamado on the demon path because of sun immunity. A common clan is only one small stat, with no skills and no passives.
Breathing Styles:
A Breathing Style is the sword move set a Slayer learns from a trainer at level 25. You bring what that trainer asks for, finish the quest, and then spend skill points on the later moves. Zentaro, Tengai, and Obari also need Wall Climb, and Iceveil Valley drains health on the way to Saneri and Tengai until you use a campfire or an Emberheart Lantern. Demons skip these kits and drink Muzan's blood for a Blood Demon Art instead.
Blood Demon Arts:
A Blood Demon Art is the combat kit you use after you become a demon. You can roll for Shockwave at Muzan or use its orb and finish the training quest. Ice Manipulation, Dream Manipulation, Tamari, Arrow, and Obi Manipulation also have chest, boss, or Muzan roll routes. The art you pick fills Z, X, C, V, and B, so the choice is how you open, catch, and finish a fight. Explosive Blood is a Blood Demon Art too, but its unlock and skill names are not listed yet, and the shared demon path is still quests and a boss fight.
Weapons:
A weapon is the kit you equip, and its path marks it for a Slayer, a Demon, or either. You pay Wen for a shop weapon, farm bosses and caches for the next bonus, then craft an upgrade from the matching base weapon using materials and Points. Firstlight, Nightfall, and Lost Shotgun come from schematics, so follow a spot only when it is settled. Flat damage, the damage factor, block, Sun Immunity, and damage reduction are different reasons to pick one kit.
Collectibles
Titles:
A title is a milestone reward you earn by fighting, opening chests, fishing, climbing Ouwigahara, finishing quests, picking a race route, or maxing a style. Press M, open Titles, and equip up to three so their buffs turn on. Every title you unlock also leaves a passive on for good, even when it is not equipped. Swap the three slots when you change jobs, because a fishing buff will not help a boss and a block-regen buff does nothing if you never block.

Slayers 2 Gameplay Tips
- Read the clan passive before you spend a reroll. A match for your Breathing Style or Blood Demon Art is worth more than a higher-rarity roll that does not help you fight.
- Unlock double jump and Wall Climb before you travel to a distant trainer.
- At level 25, bring only the materials that trainer asks for. Horn, core, and Wen costs differ by style. Wen is the money vendors and trainers take.
- Follow the Windy Peak quests into the bear area. Final Selection does not open before level 45.
