Reaching Level 45 only makes Final Selection available in Slayers 2. You also need to stay on the human/Slayer path, arrive before the gate countdown ends, and clear each objective in order. Even after you defeat the Hand Demon, you still have one important step: return to The Sisters and confirm that the game gave you the Slayer status and rewards.
This guide follows the full route, including the fruit search, Lesser Demon counter, Klien's treatment task, the Submerged Key, the timed parkour dungeon, Mountain Survival, Levi's rescue, and the Hand Demon fight.
Slayers 2 Final Selection requirements and entrance
Final Selection is for a character who chose the human/Slayer route. If you already chose the Demon path, this trial will not turn that character into a Slayer. Reach Level 45 first. If you are still leveling, the Slayers 2 beginner progression guide covers the lead-up.
At Level 45, travel through Mistfall Harbor toward Butterfly Estate. Cross the long bridge south to Final Selection Plains, then follow the path northeast to the gate. The Sisters begin the trial, but only after the gate's live countdown opens. The gate usually reopens about every two hours, and that interval can change, so use the timer in front of you instead of a fixed clock schedule. If the countdown ends before you arrive, wait for the next opening.
Bring a practiced weapon and healing if you have them. Double Jump and Wall Climb help with the movement sections, while a horse can make Mountain Survival easier without being a confirmed entry requirement. Keep about 25 Wen available for Rika's Bandage, then use the price shown in the shop when you buy it.
How to complete the Slayers 2 Final Selection quest route
Once The Sisters start the exam, complete each marker in order. A stage is not finished when you reach the area or pick up its item. Wait for the tracker to advance and return to the NPC named by the objective before moving on.
Find Rem and collect the Apple, Banana, and Grapes
Rem's first task is a short collection objective. Accept it, then collect one Apple, one Banana, and Grapes from the nearby marked area. The Grapes are behind the large tree near Rem, the Apple is a short distance to her right, and the Banana is to her left and a little farther away. Return all three to Rem. The next marker should appear after the hand-in.
Defeat five Lesser Demons for Vael
Vael asks for five Lesser Demons. Defeat the enemies that count as Lesser Demons, and watch the objective counter rather than clearing unrelated enemies nearby. Return to Vael after it reaches five. If the counter does not move, you are fighting the wrong enemy type or have not accepted Vael's objective.
Recover Klien's Nichirin Katana and treat his wounds
Follow the marker to Klien and recover his lost Nichirin Katana. The marked route leads toward the nearby cliffside, where the katana can be found beneath a tree to the right of the direction Klien faces. Pick it up and bring it back to him.
Klien then sends you to Rika for a Bandage. Buy the required item for about 25 Wen, using the shop's displayed price if it differs, and return to Klien. Finish the treatment skill check by following the prompts. Buying the Bandage is only part of this stage. The tracker must record the treatment before the next marker appears.
Find Lost and collect the Submerged Key
The next marker may label this NPC Mizuto or Mizunoto. Use the active quest label if the spelling differs. Follow it to the pond, dive down, and find the underwater cave. Defeat Lost, collect the Submerged Key, and return to Mizuto. Picking up the key does not replace the return interaction, so wait for the hand-in to advance the route.
Clear the Final Selection parkour dungeon
Use the Submerged Key to open the dungeon. Inside, pull the levers that open the route and cross the timed obstacle sections. The course uses suspended platforms, spikes, gaps, and checkpoints, so take each jump from a stable position and use a checkpoint as soon as you reach it.
Your run has a limited life counter. The exact life total can change, so watch the in-game counter instead of relying on a fixed number. If you reach the exit, stay until the completion registers, then return to the quest giver. Leaving before the tracker advances can leave the dungeon step unfinished.
Complete Lavato's Mountain Survival checkpoints
Lavato starts Mountain Survival. Follow the objective markers through four blue checkpoints before the timer expires, then continue along the final marker to Levi. The area can be hard to read through the fog, so keep the next marker in view. A horse can shorten the ride, but follow the markers if you are on foot.
Finish Levi's capture and civilian rescue
Levi's stage begins at the marked capture zone. Enter it and stay there until the capture objective advances. Demons interrupt the capture, so clear them and return to the zone whenever the tracker stops.
After the capture, interact with each civilian named by the active tracker and carry them back to Levi. You will usually see three civilian returns. If your tracker shows a different number, follow that counter. Return to Levi after the last civilian is delivered.
Speak with Steve and defeat the Hand Demon
Find Steve after Levi's stage and speak with him before attacking. Accept the Hand Demon objective, then enter the arena.
The boss can become immune while its summoned minions are alive. When your attacks stop dealing damage, clear the minions first. Attack the Hand Demon during the next damage window and repeat that cycle until the objective reaches 1/1.
Do not leave immediately after the final hit. Let the tracker finish, then follow the next marker to The Sisters.
Slayers 2 Final Selection rewards and how to confirm the clear
Defeating the Hand Demon is not the final hand-in. Return to The Sisters after the boss objective completes. Check that your character now shows the Slayer title or status and Mizunoto rank, then inspect the reward screen for the Slayer Uniform, Kasugai Crow, and the current material reward.
The fixed rewards to look for are the Slayer title or status, Slayer Uniform, and Kasugai Crow. The game may also show Mizunoto rank and materials such as Ore or a Crude Iron Ingot. Material labels can differ, so use the current reward screen as the final check. The route is complete only after The Sisters register the return, not when the boss falls.
Once the Slayer status appears, you can leave the trial and continue with the rest of your Slayer progression.
