If you reach the right area and still cannot find Muzan in Slayers 2, the problem is usually the search window or the sweep, not a single missing coordinate. Muzan appears only at night and patrols around a search area, so he may have moved by the time you reach a familiar landmark.
The three established areas documented by current guides are Mistfall Harbor, Hidden Mist Village, and Iceveil Valley. Check the Demon-route requirements first, then search those areas in order. The landmark below each route is a starting point, not a guaranteed standing spot.
What You Need Before Searching for Muzan in Slayers 2
If you are searching because you want to start the Demon route, check these conditions before spending a night running through the map. The reputation requirement controls whether Muzan can offer the route, while the time and path checks determine whether the interaction can happen at all.
| Check | What to do |
|---|---|
| Demon-route reputation | Reach -40 reputation or lower before you expect Muzan to offer the Demon quest. This makes you eligible to check the conversation, but it does not put him at a fixed location. |
| Character path | A character already on the Slayer path may still be refused, even with very low reputation. If you see no interaction, confirm the path before assuming the area is wrong. |
| Time | Search after night begins. Muzan does not appear during the day, so waiting at a landmark through daylight will not produce the prompt. |
| Iceveil preparation | The snow biome continuously drains HP. An Emberheart Lantern from the Yeti gives cold immunity; without it, stay near campfires and use healing while you sweep. |
Mistfall Harbor Muzan Location in Slayers 2
Mistfall Harbor is a practical first check because it is close to early progression. From Beginner Village, travel toward the harbor and enter the city walls. Begin around Ginzo and the open ground, then follow the harbor roads and the upper and lower ramps that connect to the lower sections.

Muzan can patrol anywhere inside the harbor area, so do not treat Ginzo as the spawn point. Make a loop around the gate and nearby buildings, check both ramps, and finish along the lower road before you give up on the zone. If the loop is empty, move to Hidden Mist Village rather than standing at one marker.
Hidden Mist Village Muzan Location in Slayers 2
From Mistfall Harbor, continue toward the Hidden Mist Shrine or the large opening at the edge of the route. Follow the ramp until you reach the foggy drop or canyon opening, then drop through it to reach the lower village. The important part is reaching the village below the fog; stopping at the upper edge or landing area leaves most of the search zone unchecked.

Once you land, sweep the wooden paths and central boardwalks connecting the buildings. Walk both directions through the lower section and check the adjoining paths because Muzan moves like a normal NPC. This is the backup route after a full Mistfall Harbor sweep, not a single bridge or landing point.
Iceveil Valley Muzan Location in Slayers 2
Iceveil Valley is the most demanding search because the snow drains HP continuously. The Emberheart Lantern, obtained from the Yeti, gives cold immunity and makes the sweep safer. If you do not have it, plan to move between campfires and heal rather than crossing the snow without a recovery route.
Follow the route into the snow biome from Beginner Village or Windy Peak Shrine, using the terrain transition and named landmarks as your guide. Start at the first campfire and Iceveil Settlement, then extend the sweep toward the Clothing Shop and the Tengai boss area or nearby ramp.

Those landmarks help you cover the settlement and nearby paths, but none is a guaranteed Muzan coordinate. Search the paths between them while keeping an eye on your health, then leave the biome or recover before cold damage turns a location check into a death.
What to Do After You Find Muzan in Slayers 2
Finding Muzan starts the Demon route; it does not transform you immediately. If your reputation and path are eligible, speak to him and accept the offer to receive the Biwa Bell. Use the bell to enter Muzan's lair, then find nine Spider Lilies and save Dr. Higoshima. Completing that sequence gives you Muzan's Blood, which you drink to transform.
If Muzan is missing, finish a full sweep of the named area and its adjoining paths before changing servers. If the NPC still does not appear, try a fresh server or another night, then repeat the route beginning with Mistfall Harbor. The three areas above are the established search zones, but Muzan's patrol behavior is why a single empty landmark is not proof that the location is wrong.
