Marksman is the fighting style to look for if you want a ranged option in Roblox Grand Blue, but the unlock is easy to miss. Maple Village has two Captain Esopo NPCs close to each other: the one near the shore is a boss, while the trainer is farther along the rocky slope near Beast Wreckage. Sail to the trainer, choose his aim-training dialogue, and bring 1,000 Gold to learn the style.
Where to Find the Marksman Trainer in Grand Blue
Sail to Maple Village and enter through its docks. From there, head toward the town's upper-left, beach-like Rocky Shores area and look for the crossroads that leads down the rocky slope near Beast Wreckage.
After you pass the shore-side Captain Esopo boss, keep moving along the rocky slope toward Beast Wreckage. The trainer is the second Captain Esopo, about halfway down the slope in the rocky corridor beside a large basket. The shore-side Esopo is the boss; the Esopo by the basket is the one who teaches Marksman.
Marksman Fighting Style Requirements in Grand Blue
Make sure you can sail to Maple Village and have 1,000 Gold ready for Captain Esopo. You do not need a special weapon, previous quest, Pickpocket, or Pocket Sand for this purchase, and no level requirement is needed for the route.
Grand Blue is in Early Access, so the trainer's placement or price may change. If the prompt you see asks for something different, follow the live instructions and check the cost before confirming. In this route, Captain Esopo teaches Marksman as soon as you confirm the 1,000-Gold purchase.
How to Unlock Marksman in Grand Blue
Once you reach the correct Captain Esopo, complete the unlock in this order:
- Talk to the trainer. Interact with Captain Esopo in the rocky corridor by the Beast Wreckage slope. If you are standing near the shore-side boss, continue along the slope to find the trainer.
- Choose the aim-training dialogue. Select the option that asks Captain Esopo to teach you how to get aim as good as his: "Can you teach me how to get aim as good as yours?" If the wording differs in your Early Access build, choose the equivalent option about learning his aim.
- Pay 1,000 Gold. Confirm the deal with the trainer to unlock Marksman immediately. You do not need to defeat the shore-side Captain Esopo boss for this style.
Unlocking Marksman makes it available as a fighting style, but it may not switch your active style automatically. If your character is still using the previous style, equip Marksman from the wardrobe.
How to Equip Marksman After Unlocking It
Return to Anchor Town Plaza and interact with the closet or wardrobe near Aria. Select Marksman from the available styles to make it active. This is a separate equip step, not another requirement for buying the style.
