Roblox opened, but the loading screen will not finish. The logo keeps spinning and no error code appears.
Behind that screen, Roblox is downloading the experience's map and other files. A large experience may need more time on a slow connection, but a load with no progress can also point to a broken session or blocked connection.
Start with one quick test. If only one experience hangs, that experience may be heavy, overloaded, or broken. If several experiences hang, check your connection, Roblox installation, and security software. If the website and app are both failing, check the official Roblox status page before changing anything.

How to fix Roblox stuck loading
Work through these fixes in order. Stop when an experience loads normally.
1. Fully close Roblox and rejoin
A failed session can remain open in the background. End it before trying again.
- On Windows, press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
- Select each Roblox process and choose End task.
- Open Roblox and join the experience again.

2. Restart your router and improve the connection
Roblox names low bandwidth and inconsistent wireless connections as causes of slow or hanging loads. Restart the network before changing app files.
- Unplug your router and modem, if they are separate.
- Wait about 30 seconds.
- Plug them back in and wait for the connection to return.
- Open Roblox and test the experience again.
Move closer to the router if you use Wi-Fi. On a computer, an Ethernet cable is a useful test because it removes the wireless link from the problem.
3. Turn off your VPN or proxy
A VPN or proxy changes the route between your device and Roblox. Turn it off, fully close Roblox, and retry on your normal connection.
If Roblox loads after that, leave the VPN or proxy off while you play.
4. Allow Roblox through your firewall and antivirus
Roblox says firewalls are a frequent cause of hanging or slow loads. Antivirus tools can block the app in a similar way.
- Open your firewall's allowed apps list.
- Make sure Roblox is allowed on the network you use.
- Check your antivirus quarantine or blocked-app list for Roblox files.
- If Roblox was blocked, restore it and add Roblox to the tool's allowed-app list.
Do not leave your firewall or antivirus disabled. An allowlist keeps protection on while letting Roblox connect.
5. Reinstall Roblox and remove its leftover app files
Use this only after the connection and security checks fail. Deleting %localappdata%\Roblox removes Roblox's local installation data, not merely a small cache, so it belongs inside a clean reinstall.
- Uninstall Roblox from Windows Settings.
- Press Win + R, type
%localappdata%, and press Enter. - Delete the Roblox folder.
- Restart your PC.
- Install Roblox again from roblox.com/download.
This does not delete your account, Robux, items, or saved progress. Those stay on Roblox's servers.
6. Reset Roblox on a phone or tablet
Roblox's mobile troubleshooting starts with closing the app and rebooting the device.
- Force close Roblox from the app switcher.
- Restart the phone or tablet.
- Try another connection, such as switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
- If loading still hangs, reinstall Roblox from the device's official app store.
7. Restart or reinstall Roblox on console
Fully quit Roblox instead of leaving it suspended, then restart the console. If several experiences still hang, reinstall the Roblox app from the console's official store.
When the experience or Roblox is the problem
If one experience hangs while others load, test it again later. A large map can load slowly, and a broken or overloaded experience may not finish serving its files. Your device does not need a reinstall when other experiences work normally.
If several experiences and Roblox services fail together, check the Roblox status page. A platform incident cannot be fixed from your device, so wait for service to recover before repeating the local steps.
