Upgrades are the diamond sinks scattered along Pet Simulator 99's world path: permanent stat boosts sold at fixed areas, each type reappearing at later areas with bigger price tags. They are the main reason to hold diamonds early, and the order you buy them in quietly shapes how fast everything else goes.

How upgrade steps work
Each upgrade type sells in steps: the same upgrade appears at several areas along the path, each purchase adding another increment of its effect at a rising diamond cost. The card for each type lists its per-step effect and every area where a step is sold, so you can see what is still unbought along your route.
A sensible buy order
- Move Faster first: walk speed compounds into everything and the early steps are cheap.
- Magnet next for hands-off collection.
- Damage upgrades (tap and pet) when pushing new areas; coins and diamonds upgrades when farming in place.
- Luck is the pet hunter's pick, upgrading every future egg.
Diamonds spent here never devalue, which makes upgrades the safest early spending in the game.
FAQ
Are Pet Simulator 99 upgrades permanent?
Yes. Every diamond upgrade step is a permanent stat increase, which makes them the safest early diamond spending in the game.
Which upgrade should I buy first?
Move Faster. Walk speed improves every minute of play and its early steps are cheap, with Magnet as the natural second for automatic pickup.
Why does the same upgrade appear in multiple areas?
Upgrades sell in steps: each area along the path offers another increment of the same upgrade at a higher price, so the effect stacks as you progress.
