Masteries turn the things you repeat in Pet Simulator 99 into permanent account progress. Each track rewards a different play loop, so the smart target is the one whose perks match what you already hatch, farm, upgrade, open, or spend.

Level the loop you already play
Mastery unlocks at Rebirth 4, and each track gains XP from its own activity. Hatching will not quietly train Potions Mastery while you are busy elsewhere. Start with the loop you repeat most, then let normal play carry as much of the grind as possible.
A mastery can become useful before level 99. Discounts, faster actions, better rewards, automation, and access perks arrive along the path, so check whether the next useful reward helps your current routine before pouring resources into XP. The cape at the end is tidy, but the permanent perks do the real work.
Spend shortcuts where they remove friction
A Mastery XP Potion adds XP to the track you choose, while an Ultra Mastery XP Potion can finish a chosen track immediately. Save those shortcuts for a slow activity you dislike or for perks you will use often. Spending one on a track that already rises during your daily farming is usually paying to skip progress you were about to earn anyway.
Some loops overlap. Fusing pets can move both Pets Mastery and Fuse Mastery, which makes a pet-stack session more efficient than treating those grinds as strangers. Most other tracks are more specific, so make sure the action you are repeating actually feeds the mastery you want.
Treat capes as the finish line, not the plan
The normal cape earned at level 99 is cosmetic. The separate Master Skill Cape is the wider completion reward for maxing the mastery system, and it includes a diamond earn bonus. Chase that long goal if completion itself matters to you, but choose individual masteries for the perks that improve how you play now.
FAQ
When does Mastery unlock in Pet Simulator 99?
Mastery unlocks at Rebirth 4. Each track then gains XP from the activity tied to that system.
Which Pet Simulator 99 mastery should I level first?
Start with the track linked to the activity you repeat most or the perks your setup needs now. Long farming sessions naturally favor Breakables, heavy hatching favors Eggs, and regular item upgrades make Potions or Enchants more useful.
Can one action train more than one mastery?
Fusing pets can train both Pets Mastery and Fuse Mastery. Most tracks use their own specific activity, so another action will not automatically share the XP.
Should I use an Ultra Mastery XP Potion right away?
Use it when a track has perks you will rely on and its normal grind is slow or unpleasant for you. Keep it for later if that mastery already rises during the play loop you do every day.
Do normal level 99 mastery capes give a boost?
Normal mastery capes are cosmetic. The separate Master Skill Cape is tied to completing the wider mastery system and includes a diamond earn bonus.
