How Orb Bonuses Work
Every Orb is linked to one family of skills, and it only helps those skills. An Orb with strong numbers still does nothing for you if you never use the skills it matches, so check the skill family first and the numbers second.
The numbers on an Orb aren't fixed. When you get one, each bonus rolls a random value within its range, so two Orbs of the same type can turn out different. A higher roll means a bigger bonus, so the numbers are worth a close look.
How to Get Orbs
Some Orbs are sold by merchants for cash. These merchants appear on a timer and leave after a short while, so check back if you don't see one. One Orb comes from a boss fight instead, and that fight is locked behind a high level.
A few Orbs come from catching rare fish, and some of those are secret fish. Some of these fish are called with specific bait. The only way to farm them is to keep fishing the right waters, so expect to spend time there.
Some Orbs come from quests, and a few need an earlier quest step finished first. Others can come from the summon banner, which costs Crystals and works like a lucky draw, so the rarer Orbs show up less often.
Which Orbs Are Worth Getting First
There isn't one best Orb for everyone, because the right pick depends on the skills you use most. Once you know those, choose by what you want most from an Orb. If damage is the goal, look at the Orbs with the highest damage ranges, and if you want more cash or drop chance, look for the ones that boost those.
FAQ
Which Orb is the best one?
The Taoist Orb is often called the strongest all-round pick, since its bonuses cover damage, cash, shorter waits between skills and drop chance at once. It only works with Apex Eagle Hunt skills, so it's the right choice only if you use those.
Why isn't my Orb giving any bonus?
Check that the Orb matches the skills you're using, because its bonus only applies while both the Orb and those skills are in use.
What do I need to fight Enzo for an Orb?
Enzo is on Fallout Isle. The Orb only drops from Nightmare Mode, the hardest version of the fight, so beating him on an easier mode won't give it to you.
