Islands are the fishing areas of Heavyweight Fishing, a Roblox game about catching fish and upgrading your rod. Each one has its own fish, rods, and characters, so every new island brings something new to catch and buy. The islands fall into two groups: a main route you work through as you get stronger, and extra destinations that serve a different purpose.

How Power Unlocks Islands in Heavyweight Fishing
Each island on the main route has a Power number, and that number is about your rod. The catches at each island need a rod strong enough to handle them, so the number tells you when an upgrade is worth making.
You can often travel to an island before your rod can catch everything there. Plan your route around the Power of the rod you're carrying rather than the island's number alone. If your catches stop getting better, check your rod first.
Heavyweight Fishing Main Route: Islands in Order
The main route is a chain of islands, and each one asks for more Power than the one before it. Every island brings its own set of rods and fish, so moving up the line in order is the natural way to build your gear. Fallout Isle is where golden rods first show up, along with a boss to fight. Sovereign Isle brings the grandmaster rods, and Amber Isle closes the route with the Starlight Rod and the late-game fish.
Battlefield Isle and Mistpeak Isle: Extra Destinations
Battlefield Isle and Mistpeak Isle sit outside the main route. They sit outside the main fishing progression. The main route is where your rod upgrades come from, while these two are the places to go for something the line doesn't give you.
How to Use the Compass to Travel Between Islands
The Compass helps you find islands. Pick an island and it points you toward it, so you don't need to remember where each one sits. It's most useful once you've unlocked several islands, when the list of places to visit starts to grow.
FAQ
Where do new players start in Heavyweight Fishing?
New players begin on Beginning Isle, which is also where the tutorial takes place. It's the first island on the main route and has no Power number, so you can start right away without any upgrades.
What is Mistpeak Isle for?
Mistpeak Isle is linked to the Mountain Fish and its Mountain Flip drop, which makes it the island to head to if you're after that catch.
What is Battlefield Isle for?
Battlefield Isle is tied to late-game skills and some of the game's important NPCs. It's the place to go once you're deep into the game and want those skills.
How do you use the Compass to reach an island?
Open it from the icon on the left side of the screen, then select the island you want. The Compass shows the direction, and you do the traveling until you arrive at the destination.
