Orbs are passive items in Heavyweight Fishing. Each orb boosts only the skill family named on its tooltip. Open the power or inventory area, choose the Orbs tab, and check that family before you equip it. A high roll on the wrong family is still doing nothing useful.
One count is still unclear: six orb entries are commonly shown, but Bac Minh Orb also appears as a seventh quest entry. Keep Bac Minh in the unlock list, and use the live Orbs tab if your server shows a different count.
Heavyweight Fishing uses skill-family orbs. That is different from rod rankings in Fish an Anime RNG and enchantment bonuses in Fisch, which belong to other Roblox fishing games.
Match each orb to its skill
| Orb | Matching skill family | Known or displayed stat rolls | Item panel |
|---|---|---|---|
| Maoshan Orb | Maoshan skills | 25% to 200% damage; 5% to 10% cooldown reduction; 1% to 50% drop chance. | ![]() |
| Taoist Orb | Apex Eagle Hunt | 25% to 200% damage; 5% to 25% cash; 5% to 10% cooldown reduction; 1% to 50% drop chance. | ![]() |
| Qian Gate Orb | Qian Gate Dao | 20% to 100% damage. Secondary values appear as 5% to 25% cooldown reduction and 1% to 10% luck, or 5% to 10% cooldown reduction and 1% to 100% drop chance. Verify the live tooltip. | ![]() |
| Sage Yijiu Orb | Sage Yijiu skills | 50% to 200% damage; 5% to 25% cash. An item panel also shows 5% to 25% cooldown reduction. Verify the live tooltip. | ![]() |
| Cloud Ascension Orb | Cloud Ascension skills | 10% to 120% damage; 1% to 25% cooldown reduction; 5% to 15% drop chance. | ![]() |
| Bac Minh Orb | Not confirmed | The matching skill family and stat rolls need live tooltip confirmation. | |
| Execution Orb | Five Execution Cast | The item panel shows 50% to 150% damage; 5% to 25% cooldown reduction; 10% to 40% cash. Another displayed range starts damage at 5%. Verify the live tooltip. | ![]() |
Start with the skill family, then judge the roll. Damage alone does not settle the choice: cash, cooldown reduction, and drop chance can matter more for the way you play. For Bac Minh, do not guess the family from the orb name. Read the live tooltip after you find it.
How to get every orb
The direct route depends on the orb. Use the matching row, then check the live prompt for timers and requirements that may change.
| Orb | Route | What to do | Route visual |
|---|---|---|---|
| Maoshan Orb | Maoshan Merchant | Buy it for 200M. The listed merchant pattern is a spawn every 30 minutes on islands other than Beginning Isle, followed by a 10-minute despawn window. Verify the timer in-game. | ![]() |
| Taoist Orb | Taoist Merchant | Buy it for 100M. The same listed 30-minute spawn and 10-minute despawn pattern applies, with Beginning Isle excluded. Verify the timer in-game. | |
| Qian Gate Orb | Rainbow Dragon Fish | Buy Rainbow Bait from the Bait Seller to summon Rainbow Dragon Fish. The catch reward is 5 Gems plus Qian Gate Orb. | ![]() |
| Sage Yijiu Orb | Frost Queen Fish | Buy Frost Bait from the Bait Seller to summon Frost Queen Fish. The catch reward is 5 Gems plus Sage Yijiu Orb. | ![]() |
| Cloud Ascension Orb | Frost Kingfish | Catch Frost Kingfish on Frost Isle during Snowy weather. The listed reward is 10 Gems plus Cloud Ascension Orb. | ![]() |
| Bac Minh Orb | Bac Minh on Coconut Isle | Talk to Bac Minh and complete the quest. One listed version asks for 50 Head Smash uses and 50 Bac Minh Technique uses. The live quest should decide the counts because some location labels call the area Island 7. | ![]() |
| Execution Orb | Enzo on Fallout Isle | The listed fight requirement is level 1000. Nightmare Mode is listed at 80k HP with a 50% Execution Orb drop. Check the live boss panel before starting. | ![]() ![]() |
Choose by what you can trigger now. Cash makes a merchant route predictable once the NPC appears. Bait and weather decide the fish routes. Bac Minh's quest and Enzo's Nightmare fight need more progress, so read the live objective before you commit. If a route rewards something else but the orb is absent, check the Orbs tab before repeating it.
What to check when an orb does not work
Run these checks in order. They separate a wrong skill match from a missing reward or a delayed prompt.
Match the skill family
Read the family written on the orb, then compare it with the skill you have equipped. The passive does not apply to an unrelated family.
Confirm the orb was added
After a purchase, catch, quest, or boss reward, open the power or inventory area and select Orbs. If the item is missing there, do not assume its stats are active.
Read the live requirement again
Check the prompt shown by the merchant, bait seller, quest NPC, or boss. It can reveal a wrong island, bait, weather, quest objective, or mode before you spend another attempt.
Rejoin when the prompt is delayed
If the reward or interaction does not appear, leave and rejoin, then check Orbs again. Retry only after the requirement and reward appear clearly, so a delayed prompt does not make you repeat a costly step.
