All 17 Style Showdown Challenges in Dress to Impress

Updated on (4 days ago)

Style Showdown is Dress to Impress at its most competitive: Lana hosts, players style against a theme, votes eliminate the weakest looks, and challenges are the twist deck the mode shuffles in to keep rounds from playing the same twice. A challenge can halve your dressing time, lock your items, scramble the theme, or force a witch hat onto everyone at once.

How challenges enter a round

Challenges rotate: each round can draw one from the active pool, announced by Lana before dressing starts. The pool itself changes over time, with new challenges added in waves and older ones retired, so the mode's rulebook is a living thing.

Playing each kind of twist

  • Time-pressure twists (Speed Round) reward a default go-to outfit formula you can execute fast.
  • Commitment twists (Item Lock, Lock In) punish browsing; decide the silhouette first, then fill in.
  • Information twists (Mystery Theme, Vote Reveal) are about reading early: the sooner you decode the scrambled theme, the longer you style with certainty.
  • Forced-item twists (Random Item, Witches, Mermaids) are equalizers; the winners are whoever restyles around the imposed piece most convincingly.

The retired and collab challenges are kept here as history, and because rotation changes have brought old twists back before.

FAQ

Q.

What are Style Showdown challenges?

Rule twists that a Style Showdown round can add on top of its theme: shortened timers, locked items, scrambled themes, forced items, and vote reveals. Lana announces the challenge before dressing begins.

Q.

Do challenges appear every round?

Not every round. They draw from the active rotation as the mode decides, which keeps standard rounds and twisted rounds mixed across a session.

Q.

Can retired challenges come back?

The rotation has changed repeatedly, with challenges added, removed, and swapped, so a retired twist returning is well within precedent.
