Retired means the original unlock route is no longer treated as available. The item may still exist in older players' collections, but it should not be chased unless Dress To Impress brings back the route or creates a new unlock path.
Are active pass or advent rewards included?
No. Active pass rewards, advent reward tracks, rank milestones, code rewards, and currency items are outside this narrow Reward Item scope. They need their own unlock context so the availability labels stay clear.
What should I compare before chasing a reward item?
Compare the original route, availability, and requirement first. Then look at item type, set or family, body base, and toggles so you know whether the reward is useful for the outfits you actually build.
