Undead Nightmare's missing-person posters turn into rescue runs. Find the trapped survivor, clear the undead around them, then get them back to the safe zone that gave you the poster. Start with Millicent Waterbury. Her rescue pays the only gun among the rewards, a Semi-Auto Pistol, and it unlocks the other posters.

How to Unlock the Missing Persons Posters
First, bring Nigel West Dickens the herbs he asks for in A Cure for Most of What Ails You: five Violet Snowdrops and five Desert Sage. After that, the army captain at Fort Mercer gives you the first poster. It points to Pleasance House, north of Odd Fellow's Rest.
Undead surround the house, and the game puts you into Dead-Eye as soon as you arrive. Use it to clear the crowd before you bring Millicent out. Once she's safe, the other New Austin posters open up at Fort Mercer.
Getting Each Person Back Alive
Every poster rescue runs the same loop. Find the person at their rescue spot, clear the undead around them, and get them onto John's horse. Then ride back to the safe zone that gave you the poster.
Keep them alive the whole way, since more hordes can show up on the ride back. Avoid Jorge's Gap when you're heading south. It's a canyon packed with zombies, so route around it.
Clearing the Gate Crowd First
The undead attack the safe zone when you return. Thin them out from a safe distance before you drop the person at the main gate.
Which Rescues Count Toward 100%
Every poster rescue fills the Missing Persons stat, and you need all of them for 100%. Millicent is the exception. Her rescue is the required opening Missing Souls mission, which is also one of the survivor missions, so it counts there instead of toward the stat.
El Presidio Opens After American Imperialism
The Nuevo Paraíso posters stay hidden until you get into Nuevo Paraíso after the story mission American Imperialism. Once you're in, take a poster at El Presidio and bring the person back there. Until then, the New Austin posters are the only ones you can work through.
Those rides follow the same loop, so the route and gate advice above applies here too. The first one you bring back alive to El Presidio also fills an Undead Hunter outfit requirement.

Millicent pays a Semi-Auto Pistol and an Undead Hunter outfit scrap. Every poster rescue after her pays a small ammo reward, which is nice but not worth the ride on its own.
