Slayers 2 Flame Breathing Style Unlock Guide

Updated on September 25, 2026 (about 2 hours ago)

Finding Rengu is only the beginning of unlocking Flame Breathing in Slayers 2. You need the right level, currency, and materials before the trainer will start the six-part training route, then you must finish every task and defeat the Flame Trainee.

This guide covers the requirements, the route to Rengu's rooftop in Forgotten Ruins, each training objective in order, and the Skill Tree step that comes after the final fight.

Flame Breathing Requirements in Slayers 2

Bring these three requirements before you travel to the trainer:

RequirementAmount
Level25
Wen6,000
Demon Horns10

Wall Climb and Double Jump are also useful for reaching the rooftop and moving through the route, but they are traversal help rather than additional currency or material requirements. If you still need the horns, the Slayers 2 Demon Horns guide covers that part of your preparation.

Where to Find Flame Trainer Rengu in Slayers 2

Flame Trainer Rengu is on the rooftop of a large wooden house in Forgotten Ruins. This is separate from the nearby Rengu boss area, so reaching the landmark does not mean you have already found the trainer.

To reach the house, start in Mistfall Harbour and follow this route:

  1. Cross the long red bridge from Mistfall Harbour.
  2. Turn left and cross the hanging bridge.
  3. Continue toward the Rengu boss area until you reach the large wooden house.
  4. Use Wall Climb or Double Jump to get onto the roof, then speak to Flame Trainer Rengu.

If you meet the level, Wen, and Demon Horn requirements, speaking with Rengu starts the training sequence.

How to Complete the Six Flame Breathing Training Tasks

After you pay Rengu and hand over the materials, the game sends you through six objectives in a fixed order. Follow the active quest marker after each completed task; it points you toward the next training area.

1. Complete Meditation

Meditation is a timing challenge. Follow the on-screen timing prompts until the objective reaches 100%, then use the active marker to continue.

2. Finish Push Ups

Push Ups uses another set of timed prompts. Keep following the prompts until the progress reaches 100% so the next objective can appear.

3. Finish Boulder Split

For Boulder Split, follow the interaction and movement prompts shown during the challenge. Completing the displayed sequence advances the training route.

4. Pass Aim Training

Aim Training asks you to hit the targets that appear. Focus on the active targets and continue until the objective registers as complete, then follow the next quest marker.

5. Pass Cup Training

Cup Training is a memory challenge with three shuffled cups. Watch the ball as it moves beneath the cups, then choose the cup that you think is hiding it. You need 10 successful rounds, and you have three lives, so a wrong selection can cost part of your remaining attempts.

6. Defeat the Flame Trainee

The Flame Trainee is the final step in the training chain. Defeat the trainee to complete the route; after the win, Flame Breathing becomes available through the style branch.

What Unlocks After Flame Breathing Training in Slayers 2

Finishing the Flame Trainee does not automatically unlock every Flame technique. Open the Skill Tree and check that the Flame branch is available, then spend Skill Points on the individual moves you want to learn.

The important route is therefore Rengu's rooftop, the six objectives in order, and the Flame Trainee fight. Once that sequence is complete, the Skill Tree is the next place to go if you want to build out the style instead of stopping at the initial unlock.
