Do the candy corns from the Part 1 event count toward the 51 pumpkins?

No. The earlier Halloween Part 1 event was a candy hunt, so its candy corns belong to that event. Part 1 also added a new car and an art crate, and those are separate from the Part 2 pumpkin hunt.

Do I need to buy a car for the pumpkin hunt?

No. Every player gets a free car, and you can spawn it in the game without buying anything. You can also buy a car with cash from building your mansion, but you don't have to. Because the pumpkins are spread from the Dealership to the Shipyard, Desert, and City, a car is the practical way to get between them.

Does the Part 2 event add anything besides pumpkins?

How to Reach the Pumpkins on Rooftops, Billboards, and Ledges

Most pumpkins sit at ground level beside a road, building, or landmark, so moving through the spot is enough. A few are up high, though, and a quick pass along the road won't pick them up. Five pumpkins need a climb:

9 and 10 (Blox Mall rooftop): Take the escalator up to the roof. Pumpkin 9 is beside the candy, and pumpkin 10 is in a corner of the same roof, so one trip covers both.
19 (Shipyard Road): Climb the stairs to reach the unfinished railway platform.
20 (Shipyard Road): Use the ladder on the billboard opposite the bushes.
30 (Desert Road): Keep the gas station on your left, then climb the billboard on the road leading right from Welcome to the Dunes.

How to Reach the Pumpkins You Need to Jump Down To

Two pumpkins are reached by jumping, either over an edge or down onto a lower surface. Use the landmark in each step to find the right spot before you jump.

49 (Blox Mall parking area): Go to the far end of the parking area and jump over the edge toward the beach. Look between the palm trees near the corner.
51 (under the elevated road): From the tunnel, follow the road beneath the bridge supported by pillars. Jump down near the third light post after the turn, then look directly underneath the bridge.

Entering the Dealership Garage and the Desert Building

Two pumpkins are tucked inside structures, so you need to know where to look once you're in.

44 (Dealership): Enter through the area marked with the Customize banner, not the main showroom. The pumpkin is in the garage on the left side.
29 (Desert Road): Find the unused building beside the gas station. Its front wall is held up by five wooden planks, and the pumpkin is hidden inside those planks.

Landmarks That Lead to Each Area

These turns lead to each area's road.

Dealership and Blox Mall: The Dealership sits on the right side when you enter the city over the bridge. Blox Mall is nearby, in the main city area.
Shipyard Road (18–20): Look for four bushes and a palm tree on the right side of the road, before the orange bridge.
Leaderboard (17): From the Bank of Boo, take the first left and continue past MMT Financial.
Shipyard (23–25): Take the first left after crossing the orange bridge to enter the Shipyard.
Desert (28–31): From the orange bridge, follow the road toward the desert and continue straight past the Desert waymarkers.
Uphill Road (33–34): From the storage units, head back slightly and take the uphill road on the left. Follow the bends to reach the tunnel.
City (39–40): From the tunnel, follow the road toward the city and turn right at the City signboard.
