Sword of Rupture is a Vanguard Familiar in Anime Vanguards. It is sold in Tempest Pirate's Gold Shop and can only be equipped to Gilgamesh (King of Heroes). It arrived with the 25th Hour Part 3 update on August 29, 2026.
Older Gilgamesh information may show Key of Babylon instead. Sword of Rupture is a separate item name, while Vortex Rupture is a unit move.
How to get Sword of Rupture in Anime Vanguards
Follow this route from the lobby:
- Enter the Anime Vanguards lobby.
- Find Tempest Pirate and open the Gold Shop.
- Open the Familiars tab.
- Select Sword of Rupture and purchase it for 500K Gold when it is listed.
The card is marked Vanguard and shows the red-and-black patterned sword with an ornate gold star-shaped handle and matching gold grip. The card also names Gilgamesh (King of Heroes) as the exclusive unit.
After buying it, open Units, select Gilgamesh (King of Heroes), choose Familiar, select Sword of Rupture, and press Equip. The menu path is Units → select a unit → Familiar → select a familiar → Equip. The Anime Vanguards units list can help you locate the correct Gilgamesh entry first.
What Sword of Rupture does for Gilgamesh
Sword of Rupture changes Gilgamesh's damage, team buffs, Enuma Elish, and NP stack loop through three passives.
Filled Arsenal
Filled Arsenal increases the unit's damage by 8,000%.
King Leading His People
King Leading His People gives Holy units 80% damage. Crimson Moon allies gain 50% damage and 20% range.
Gilgamesh's attacks apply Nullify. His Active Ability can ignore damage reduction, shields, and overshields. He also gains passive and active Enuma Elish when placed.
Activating Enuma Elish grants 50% crit damage for 30 seconds. Every 10 ally follow-up attacks grants one NP stack. The damage penalty based on units within range is removed, and Myriad Treasures' damage limit rises from 35% to 300%.
Gates of Babylon
Gates of Babylon gives one NP stack for each non-toggleable Active Ability, up to 30 stacks.
When Enuma Elish activates, the stacks drain at one per second. During the drain, Gilgamesh attacks the strongest enemy for 100% damage with guaranteed critical hits and on-hit effects. Each active NP stack gives 10% damage, and the peak damage bonus stays until all stacks are depleted before resetting.
Build NP with non-toggleable Active Abilities first, then activate Enuma Elish while the stacks are active. For older familiar names, the Anime Vanguards familiars list gives useful background, but check the in-game Sword of Rupture card for the current item details.
