The Gundam 00 roster covers Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and its side stories. Celestial Being Gundams sit alongside machines from the Union, AEU, Human Reform League and A-Laws, so you'll find the series' other factions in the roster too.
You build squads from these units, and each squad holds five unit-and-character pairs plus one Supporter. How Gundam 00 unit rarity and EX weapons work
Rarity runs from N and R up through SR and SSR, with UR as the highest rarity. Units marked (EX) are UR units that carry an EX weapon, so the mark is the quickest way to spot them.
An EX weapon can't miss, and damage resistance doesn't weaken it, so you can count on its damage landing. That reliability is why the (EX) mark matters most when you're building for damage.

Gundam 00 unit types: Attack, Durability and Support
Every Gundam 00 unit has one Type: Attack, Durability or Support. The Type tells you the job a unit is built for, and Attack units are the ones that deal the main damage.
Durability units can take hits for nearby allies, which the game calls support defense. A Durability unit standing close to your attackers can absorb hits meant for them. Support units join allied attacks, which the game calls support attacks.
A squad that mixes all three Types covers damage, protection and extra attacks. That balance is what keeps a squad steady when the fight gets harder.
How terrain ratings work for Gundam 00 units
Each Gundam 00 unit is rated for Space, Air, Ground, Surface and Underwater maps. Each rating is full strength, limited, or unable to be sent there at all. A unit with no Space rating can't be deployed on a space map, so check the ratings before you commit a unit to a squad.
Gundam 00 units are unusually flexible on terrain, and many are at full strength in Space, Air and Ground. That means a single unit can often cover more than one map type.
How to get Gundam 00 units
Unit Assembly is the gacha draw, and every (EX) unit in this roster comes from it. Other units come from Development and from rewards, so a draw isn't the only way in.
Development lets you make a unit from units you already own, plus Capital and special items. Gundam 00 has its own Development Diagram, as each series does, and the units you can make follow that diagram.
Stage and event rewards hand out units too, and some Gundam 00 units can be captured during stages.
Which Gundam 00 units are worth building
For damage, a UR unit with an EX weapon is the kind to aim for, and Gundam Exia (EX) is a clear example. Gundam Dynames (EX) and Susanowo (EX) fit the same pattern. Build your damage around one of them, and let the rest of the squad protect it.
For the front line, look for a Durability unit, since it takes hits for nearby allies. Support units are the ones to add when you want extra hits in each allied attack.
A few other things help you choose. Pick units that are at full strength on the map types you play most, since terrain can rule a unit out entirely. Unit Abilities such as Increased ATK add passive boosts, and tags are checked by some pilot and Supporter bonuses, so a unit's tags can decide whether a bonus applies.
