RIVALS maps decide where each duel actually plays. Availability is the first thing to read: current regular maps are normal public arenas, big maps fit larger lobbies, experimental maps may change, and legacy or Baseplate rows belong to private-server play.

Current regular maps
Current regular maps are the main arenas players are most likely to see in normal duel voting. Some also appear in Ranked, but ranked support changes by row instead of applying to the whole group.

How map availability works
RIVALS has several map pools, and they do not all mean the same thing in play. A current regular map is a normal duel arena. A big map is built for larger lobbies and arcade-style queues. Experimental maps are unfinished or test-style arenas that may change. Legacy maps and Baseplate sit apart because they depend on private-server access instead of normal public voting.
| Availability | What it means | Player note |
|---|---|---|
| Current regular maps | Main public duel arenas | Best group for learning common sightlines and map voting habits |
| Big maps | Larger variants of regular maps | Built for bigger teams, FFA, TDM, Gun Game, or large-duel formats when listed |
| Experimental maps | Test-style arenas | Useful to track, but more likely to change than normal maps |
| Legacy private-server maps | Older versions of reworked maps | Private-server practice or nostalgia rows, not normal queue maps |
| Private-server-only maps | Maps locked behind private-server context | Treat as custom practice space rather than public rotation |
How difficulty and queue details fit in
Difficulty is the selector rating: Easy, Medium, Hard, or Private Server Only. It helps explain how demanding the arena is, but it does not tell you where the map can appear. Availability does that first, then supported modes and Ranked pool fill in extra queue context when the row has clean data.
Supported modes should be read as listed queue formats, such as 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, Team Deathmatch, Free For All, Gun Game, or ranked formats. Some newer or private-server rows do not have mode details attached yet. A blank mode field means the row is tracked by availability first, not that the map can never appear anywhere else.
Why private-server and legacy maps stay in the list
Legacy maps are still useful because RIVALS keeps older versions of reworked arenas available through private-server behavior. They are not regular public choices, but they matter for players practicing with friends, revisiting old layouts, or checking map-contract progress. Baseplate is even narrower: it belongs to private-server-only play and should be treated as a custom practice map.
How to Use This RIVALS Maps List
Each entry is grouped by availability. Difficulty shows the map selector rating when it is listed. Supported modes names verified queue formats for that map, and Ranked pool appears only for maps listed in Ranked 1v1, Ranked 2v2, or Ranked 3v3. Creator and Feature note appear only when the row has clean map-specific detail, so some newer rows are intentionally lighter until their details are clearer.
FAQ
How many maps are in RIVALS?
RIVALS has 37 map rows in this set: 20 current regular maps, 7 big maps, 2 experimental maps, 7 legacy private-server maps, and 1 private-server-only map.
What are big maps in RIVALS?
Big maps are larger versions of regular arenas. They are built for bigger teams and arcade-style modes, so they usually matter more in larger lobbies than in small 1v1 or 2v2 duels.
What are legacy maps in RIVALS?
Legacy maps are older versions of maps that were reworked. They are kept for private-server play, so they should not be confused with the normal public map pool.
Are experimental maps permanent?
Experimental maps are test-style arenas. They can still be useful to learn, but their layouts or availability may change more than normal maps.
Why do some maps not show modes, ranked pools, or images?
Those fields are left blank when the row does not have clean map-specific data yet. The map still stays in the list by availability, but weak placeholders and unverified queue details are not filled in as facts.
