Survivors are the playable side you bring into every Forsaken match. Each one ships a role (Survivalist, Sentinel, or Support), a health pool, and a small kit of passives and actives that change how you finish generators, peel the killer, or keep teammates alive. Most unlocks cost Player Points from matches; a few start free, and Jane Doe is a lobby quest instead of a shop buy.

Support
Heals, shields, buildings, and traps that keep the team alive or control space. Free Elliot is the starter medic; Player Points unlocks Builderman’s sentry and dispenser, plus Dusekkar shields and Taph trap lines for players who want utility over pure pizza healing.
Elliot
Free starter Support medic. Order Up! boosts healing as you complete objectives, Deliverer's Resolve reveals critically hurt teammates, Pizza Throw is the main heal projectile, and Rush Hour turns pizza picks into a short speed boost for escapes.

Player Points are the main gate. You earn them by playing rounds, then spend them in the survivor shop on paid kits. Free starters (Noob, Shedletsky, Elliot) let you learn every role before you bank enough for the mid-cost picks. Jane Doe skips the price list entirely: clear her lobby quest and she is yours without Player Points.
Pick a role before a name
- Survivalist kits keep you alive so generators still move. You self-heal, decoy, or outrun chase instead of trading blows with the killer.
- Sentinel kits exist to interrupt the killer. Stuns, blocks, charges, and high-risk guns buy your team breathing room when someone is already in danger.
- Support kits heal, shield, trap, or hold space. You often play slightly safer positions and spend cooldowns on teammates rather than your own escape.
If your lobby already has a healer and a stunner, a Survivalist who can solo a chase is usually more useful than a third support tool. The reverse is true when nobody can peel or top people up.
What the numbers are really saying
Health is how much room you have to mess up. Guest 1337 sits higher than most and wants to eat hits. Two Time and base Jane Doe sit lower and need clean ability use. Chance rolls a random health band each round, so the same kit can feel tanky or paper depending on Unpredictable Fate. Jane Doe also runs Shatterpoint as a second, damage-reduced pool you rebuild by landing abilities.
Difficulty is skill floor, not a power ranking. Shedletsky, Elliot, and Taph are easier to land value with early. Dusekkar, 007n7, Guest 1337, and Two Time ask for better positioning and timing. Chance is marked Gamble because coin flips and RNG health change the plan every match.
Playstyle on each card is the short job label: self-preservation, deception, stun pressure, frontline tank, second life, team healing, traps, and so on. Use it as a filter when two survivors share a role but feel nothing alike.
How unlocks and hybrids work
Most paid survivors sit in the mid Player Points band. Veeronica costs more among Survivalists; Chance costs more among Sentinels and lives on risk. Jane Doe is the odd one out: quest unlock, Sentinel section, hybrid Support tools in the kit notes. Two Time is sectioned as Sentinel but some character pages also call out Survivalist habits (stealth, second life). Trust the section for team draft, and read the role note when you care about hybrids.
Trade-offs that show up in real rounds
| If you need… | Lean toward… | Watch out for… |
|---|---|---|
| Solo chase survival | Noob consumables, Veeronica mobility, 007n7 clones | Low peel for teammates who get hit first |
| Reliable killer interrupt | Shedletsky Slash, Guest Block/Charge/Punch | You become the next target after a loud stun |
| Second chance after death | Two Time Oblation + Ritual | Low base health while you farm the meter |
| RNG high ceiling | Chance coin and gun kit | Bad health rolls and tails streaks |
| Tracking plus long stuns | Jane Doe Resonance setup | Quest unlock only; fragile base health |
| Team sustain | Elliot pizza, Builderman dispenser | You die faster if you never look away from the objective |
| Soft control without heals | Taph wires and mines, Dusekkar shield/beam | Traps need placement; Dusekkar is hard to pilot |
Veeronica cannot take external heals (Metal Frame), so pairing her with Elliot is weaker than pairing a normal body with pizza. Builderman wants early setup time; if the killer dives buildings nonstop, Taph traps or Elliot pocket heals may waste fewer cooldowns. Guest 1337 Self Sacrifice can pull hits off other entities, which is great for protecting supports and rough if you stand in the wrong doorway alone.
Easy mistakes
- Buying the flashiest kit before you can land free starter tools. Shedletsky and Elliot teach stun timing and heal throws for zero Player Points.
- Treating difficulty stars like a tier list. A 2/5 kit that you land every round beats a 5/5 kit you panic-waste.
- Ignoring role balance in the lobby. Four supports with no stun often lose generators while the killer free-farms.
- Expecting Chance to play like a normal Sentinel. Plan for random health and coin outcomes, not a fixed HP bar.
- Unlocking Veeronica and still standing in Elliot pizza range for free heals that never apply.
- Saving forever for one expensive pick while free and mid-cost kits already cover your role hole.
Draft the role your match is missing, match health and difficulty to how clean you play under pressure, and spend Player Points when the kit solves a real problem instead of chasing a long ability list.
FAQ
What are survivors in Forsaken?
Survivors are the playable characters on the survivor team. Each one has a role, health, difficulty, passives, and active abilities that change how you finish generators, avoid or interrupt the killer, and help teammates.
How do you unlock survivors?
Most paid survivors cost Player Points earned from matches. Noob, Shedletsky, and Elliot are free starters. Jane Doe unlocks through a lobby quest instead of a Player Points purchase.
What do Survivalist, Sentinel, and Support mean?
Survivalists focus on self-preservation, evasion, and staying useful on objectives. Sentinels stun or confront the killer to protect others. Supports heal, shield, build, or trap for the team.
How do you unlock Jane Doe?
Jane Doe is a quest unlock from the lobby, not a Player Points shop buy. Complete her quest steps in the lobby flow and she joins your roster without spending Player Points.
What are Player Points used for?
Player Points are the main currency for buying paid survivors after matches. Free starters and Jane Doe’s quest path do not require that spend.
Which survivors are free?
Noob (Survivalist), Shedletsky (Sentinel), and Elliot (Support) start free so you can try each role. Jane Doe is free of Player Points cost once you finish her quest.
Why does Chance have Gamble difficulty and random health?
Chance’s Unpredictable Fate passive randomizes starting health each round (about 55–130). Coin Flip and related tools also swing cooldowns and outcomes, so the kit is built around risk instead of a fixed plan.
Is Jane Doe a Sentinel or a Support?
She sits in the Sentinel section on the roster. Her kit is a hybrid: tracking and stun setup with Support-style tools, so team draft treats her as a peel/setup pick more than a pure medic.
Can Veeronica be healed by teammates?
No. Metal Frame blocks external healing, so she restores health through her own battery tools instead of Elliot pizza or similar team heals.
What should beginners unlock first?
Learn the free kits first: Noob for self-sustain, Shedletsky for basic stuns, Elliot for team healing. Then spend Player Points on a role your lobbies keep missing, not on the highest difficulty card by default.
