Rarity helps you recognize the kind of find you have uncovered in Dig & Clean, but it is only part of the item’s story. A promising glow gives you a clue before the cleaned find fills in the details.

Read the glow, then check the item
Color is a quick clue while digging. Bright effects can be difficult to tell apart, so confirm the rarity on the cleaned item instead of relying on a glimpse of its glow.
If recovering or cleaning a target takes too long, check your gear. Better detection alone does not solve a slow shovel or cleaner.
Rarity is different from condition and weight
Pristine describes condition, while Meteorite is a mutation. Neither replaces the item’s rarity, and weight is another separate attribute. Copies of an item can differ even when their names match.
Before selling a duplicate or replacing a museum piece, compare its actual displayed income with the item you already have. A rarity label alone is not enough to make that decision.
Later rarity goals
Island progression introduces new hunting goals: Paradox arrived with Lava Lagoon, followed by Singularity with Paradise Point and Genesis in Update 5. Anomaly is therefore not the last rarity to work toward.
Keep your next goal tied to the destinations and equipment you can reach. That gives you a practical next step while building toward later finds.
