Prepare before travelling

Boat travel connects your island progression, with destinations requiring unlocks before you visit. Keep some money for equipment after paying for access: reaching a new island does not upgrade your tools for you.

Check your detector, shovel and cleaner together before moving on. If digging or cleaning already takes too long, a gear upgrade may help more than spending everything on the next destination.

Keep Home Beach in your routine

New islands do not replace your home base. Return to Home Beach to clean your finds and work on your museum between trips. That return loop keeps exploration connected to what you bring back.

Plan a shop visit or a forging trip

Gear shopping and forging serve different goals. Paradise Point and Tombstone Tides matter when you are chasing later tools; the Volcano matters when you need the Forgemaster. Decide what you are going there to do before setting off, especially if your budget only covers the journey.
