Progress through Red Dead Revolver's fixed 27-mission Story Mode as Red Harlow and the other playable characters, moving through shootouts, duels, chases, and set pieces. Between chapters, Brimstone is the shop and interstitial stop for bounty cash, weapons, ammunition, upgrades, and other unlocks. Bounty Hunter adds chapter replay objectives and rewards, while Showdown remains the game's local multiplayer mode with separate character and level unlocks.

Story Missions

Red Dead Revolver's Story Mode is a linear chain of frontier missions with score-screen bounties and Good/Excellent unlocks. Players move through the chapters by following the campaign route, then can revisit eligible chapters through the separate Bounty Hunter mode. Brimstone handles between-chapter shopping, while Showdown remains local multiplayer.

Red Dead Revolver gameplay tips

  • Learn the game's Dead Eye timing and drawing/dueling rhythm before relying on speed. A calm draw and deliberate shot placement are more useful than treating every duel like a normal firefight.
  • Use cover and pay attention to your weapon state in fights. Jump, roll, punch, grab, and melee actions do not all behave the same way with every weapon.
  • Treat Brimstone as a chapter interstitial and shop stop. Spend bounty cash when the next useful weapon, ammunition, upgrade, or unlock is available, but check what is available before spending everything.
  • Check journal purchases before leaving the relevant chapter or shop window. The journal has 138 entries across 365 pages, with 15 available initially and 123 unlocked through play, and timing can make some entries missable.
  • Use Excellent Ratings and Bounty Hunter objectives as replay targets after you know a chapter's basic route. They turn a finished mission into a second pass with something specific to chase.
  • On later playthroughs, check which relevant unlocks and cash have carried over before planning your shop route. That lets you focus on the chapters and objectives still missing from the run.
