Story Mode property buying runs through Dynasty 8 For Sale signs, plus mission grants for Vanilla Unicorn and Sandy Shores Airfield. The useful facts are who can buy, what it costs, and whether the place pays every week or only when you work it.

Businesses
Most For Sale signs appear after Nervous Ron. Tequi-la-la waits on Vinewood Souvenirs - Willy. Franklin's impound also needs Tonya's towing missions and Friends Reunited, Downtown Cab Co. waits on Friends Reunited, and Sonar Collections Dock waits until The Merryweather Heist. Vanilla Unicorn is granted after Hang Ten and does not count toward the five-property 100% task. Skip a management job and that week's profit falls. The impound, McKenzie Field Hangar, scrapyard, and sonar dock pay per job instead of a weekly deposit.

Buying properties in Story Mode
Most businesses use a Dynasty 8 For Sale sign. Walk up as the character who is allowed to buy it, pay from that wallet, and the property stays with that protagonist. Trevor is granted Vanilla Unicorn after Hang Ten and Sandy Shores Airfield after Nervous Ron, so those two never go on sale.
Buyer lines are hard limits. Hookies is Franklin or Michael. Franklin-only shops include Smoke on the Water, Downtown Cab Co., the Harmony Los Santos Customs, and the LSPD Auto Impound. Michael buys the cinemas. Trevor buys McKenzie Field Hangar. Several bars, the scrapyard, the golf club, and Sonar Collections Dock take any protagonist.
Weekly deposits versus job pay
Minotaur Finance deposits weekly income for bars, shops, cinemas, Downtown Cab Co., Harmony Los Santos Customs, and the golf club. Skip a Property Management job and that week's profit falls. The game does not publish a dollar penalty, so the listed weekly figure is the full deposit, not a guaranteed paycheck.
The impound, McKenzie Field Hangar, Car Scrapyard, and Sonar Collections Dock pay when you do the work. Towing, arms trafficking, wrecking cars, and nuclear waste collection do not convert into a weekly rate. After all 30 nuclear wastes are collected, the dock stops paying.
Michael's cinema emails oversell the perk. Doppler Cinema is inaccessible and cannot screen movies. Ten Cent Theater and Tivoli Cinema actually let him watch for free.
100% and homes you cannot buy
100% Completion asks you to purchase any five properties. Vanilla Unicorn does not count, because Hang Ten grants it. You do not need to own every property.
Story safehouses are not sold. Michael's house, Franklin's Clinton Residence and Whispymound Drive home, Trevor's trailer, and Floyd's apartment stay residences. GTA Online apartments, Nightclubs, Arcades, Auto Shops, and Agencies belong to a different mode.
Common mistakes
- The purchasable Los Santos Customs is the Harmony / Route 68 branch. Free mods apply there only. City LSC shops are not this property.
- McKenzie Field Hangar is a Grapeseed arms-trafficking business, not a personal aircraft hangar.
- Original-edition free grants for extra garages, the marina, the helipad, and the LSIA hangar are not the Enhanced prices. Treat the grant and the bill as two different asks.
- Do not turn activity pay into a weekly return. Those businesses pay when you run the job.
FAQ
Does this include GTA Online apartments and businesses?
No. It covers GTA 5 Story Mode properties only. Online apartments, Nightclubs, Arcades, Auto Shops, Agencies, and the Online McKenzie Field Hangar stay out.
Can you buy Michael's house, Franklin's homes, or Trevor's trailer?
No. Story safehouses are residences, not Dynasty 8 listings. Floyd's apartment is not for sale either.
Does Vanilla Unicorn count toward the five-property 100% task?
No. Hang Ten grants the club, so it does not count as a purchase. 100% asks for any five purchased properties, not every property on the map.
Why is the marina, helipad, or hangar free in one version and expensive in another?
Original PS3 and Xbox 360 patch 1.16 grants Puerto Del Sol Marina, Vespucci Helipad, and the LSIA hangar from the start. Enhanced still charges $75,000, $419,850, and $1,378,600. Extra garages follow a similar split: original Collector's Edition or Social Club grants them, and Enhanced charges $30,000 after Father/Son.
Is McKenzie Field Hangar for storing your own planes?
No. It is Trevor's Grapeseed arms-trafficking business. Personal planes and helicopters go in Sandy Shores Airfield or, for Franklin and Michael, the LSIA hangar.
Do skipped Property Management missions cancel weekly income?
No. Skipped jobs reduce that week's profit. The listed weekly figure is the full deposit. Activity businesses only pay when you run the job.
