Roblox announced Corrupted Akanthos as a new Warden boss on August 27, 2026. The name comes from the huge, Tier 5 Artifact-related Akanthos in Creatures of Sonaria's Artifacts list, but Warden uses a separate corrupted boss. Do not carry over stats or abilities from the Creatures of Sonaria creatures list.
The first survival rule is simple: keep watching the arena instead of trusting one hiding spot. The tips below cover the visible boss cues and cautiously reported behaviour. Exact encounter details may change.

What Corrupted Akanthos looks like in Warden
The boss appears as a black-and-red, multi-eyed creature with long tentacles in a stone arena lit by purple effects. The August 27 teaser also shows players and wide purple beams crossing the room.

Its reported behaviour is closer to an overseer than a normal chasing monster. The long eyestalks can monitor the arena, so a corner that looks safe may not stay safe for long.
How to react to its scanning lights

The moving beams are the hazard to respect first. Reported descriptions say that entering a spotlight can push Corrupted Akanthos into rage mode and corrupt the player caught inside it.
The teaser shows the beams, but it does not establish the exact effect, duration, or a guaranteed way to clear corruption. Treat each spotlight as a danger zone and take a wider route when one sweeps across your path.
How to survive the encounter
Use separate jobs instead of sending the whole team into the same danger zone.
- Keep moving between useful positions. Do not stay hidden in one place for too long. Shift towards a puzzle, objective, or escape route when the boss's attention changes.
- Split objective and distraction work. Have one group handle puzzles or other objectives while another group draws attention away and watches the arena.
- Keep an exit route open. Before starting an interaction, note where you can move if a beam crosses the room.
- Leave an interaction when a beam arrives. Breaking off for a safer path is better than standing still to finish a task inside a reported hazard.
These are practical responses to the visible arena threats, not a confirmed phase-by-phase counter. The spawn point, trigger, health, damage, phases, rewards, respawn behaviour, corruption duration, and availability have not been verified, so avoid planning around a guessed location or loot drop.
