You can reach the game through the Home Alone portal in The Hollow hub, or by opening its experience page directly. Once you're in, choose Story mode, since that's the mode the quest is played in.
How to Meet and Handle the Four Crossover Visitors
Most visitors come to your front door and ask to come in. You decide with the switch by the door whether to let them in or turn them away. The exception is the Demonology visitor, which spawns inside the house instead of waiting outside.
Every visitor affects your Sanity meter, and if that meter hits zero, the run ends. Jump scares and letting the wrong visitor in both drain it. Finishing chores on the task board, such as cleaning windows, washing dishes, helps keep it up.
The task board in the house shows a picture for each visitor you've met and a question mark for each one still to come. Check it after every visitor, since it's the clearest way to confirm that a visit counted.
Each visitor needs a slightly different approach:
- The Demonology visitor doesn't wait at the door. It jump-scares you from inside the house, which costs a little Sanity.
- The Inspector arrives at 3:00 AM. Before then, get into a room away from the windows, and stay out of its sight while the inspection runs, because being spotted costs you Sanity.
- The Werewolf from Dead Rails moves slowly. If you let it in, it storms the house and hits you, and each hit drains Sanity. Keep your distance instead, and it leaves.
- The Mimic from Animal Hospital comes to the front door and asks for a Medikit. Follow its on-screen prompt, then check the task board to confirm the encounter counted.

Aim to finish a run with all four visitors on the task board and reach 6:00 AM in-game. You shouldn't count on progress carrying over to a new run.
How to Claim the Anomaly Detection Rig From the Floor 4 Maze
The Anomaly Detection Rig is a free avatar item, and you claim it from a pedestal in a hidden room on Floor 4 of The Hollow hub.
- Return to the hub and take the cinema elevator up to Floor 4.
- Explore the maze's corridors until you find the hidden Home Alone room. Search the corridors for the Home Alone portal.
- Walk up to the pedestal inside the room.
- Hold E.
