Grand Blue spreads useful NPCs across three islands, and a wrong turn can turn a quick purchase into a long trip. The Grand Blue Roblox experience is in Early Access, with fighting styles, quests, crafting, fishing, farming, mining, ships, and Gold storage tied to different characters and stalls.
This guide groups the important progression NPCs by island and role: fighting-style trainers, quest givers, and shops. It is meant to help you reach the right landmark from a dock or spawn, not to claim a census of every dialogue-only character. NPC names and shop stock can move as development continues, so use the role and landmark first, then confirm the live interaction prompt before accepting a quest or spending Gold.
Grand Blue NPC Locations by Island
Start with the island in the table, then narrow your search to the landmark cluster. Anchor Town has the most early services, Clown Town concentrates clown and circus routes, and Maple Village handles later fishing, farming, ship, and Marksman-related stops.

| Island | Start from | Important NPC clusters | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Anchor Town | The main dock or town spawn | Harbor and docks, Anchor Town Pond, training grounds, Blacksmith Building, Coast mines, lighthouse, and Marine Base | Early fighting styles, fishing, mining, Marine Base progression, and several quest and shop routes |
| Clown Town | The Harbor dock | Harbor houses, the Clownival entrance, whale fountain and Clown's Hub, Beast Tamer and Killer Clown areas, and the Ferris wheel | Clown Town quests, Smuggler and Merchant stalls, and Loki's second Trickster stop |
| Maple Village | The village dock or spawn | Well and Mansion, Mansion kitchen, central farm and garden, Marine Dealership, and rocky shore near the Black Noir raid area | Cooking and farm quests, higher fishing and ship services, Gold-related travel, and the Marksman trainer |
If you already know what you need, jump to the trainer locations, quest-giver locations, or shop locations. When a guide gives a side-of-town direction that does not match your server, keep the named landmark and the service prompt as your reliable reference.
Grand Blue Trainer NPC Locations
The five trainer rows cover Brawler, Novice Swordsman, King's Punch, Trickster, and Marksman. The route is usually easier to follow by landmark than by a precise compass direction, especially for Loki and Captain Esopo.
| Trainer | Style or skill | Location | What to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wallace | Brawler | Anchor Town docks, near the fishing shop | Look for the Brawler training prompt around the dockside fishing stalls. |
| Shiro | Novice Swordsman | Anchor Town Pond, left from the Town area and beyond the fruit-and-vegetable stall | Confirm the sword-training dialogue near the pond rather than searching the central Town area. |
| Sushi | King's Punch | Anchor Town training-dummy area and opening tutorial training grounds | The Sushi training interaction is near the dummies and training-ground market. |
| Loki | Trickster | Anchor Town Harbor near the water or docks, then the Clown Town Ferris wheel | Loki has two stops for the Trickster route. The Ferris wheel is the follow-up location, not a replacement for the first Harbor interaction. |
| Captain Esopo | Marksman | Maple Village rocky shore and Black Noir Pirates Raid side | Some guides call this trainer Usopp. Match the Marksman trainer prompt and do not confuse it with the nearby Captain Esopo boss. |
Wallace's dockside position is close to other fishing services, which is why the fishing shop is the useful landmark.

Shiro is farther toward Anchor Town Pond. From the Town area, use the fruit-and-vegetable stall as a directional cue, then look for the trainer in the grassy pond-side area.

Sushi's location is tied to the training grounds introduced near the opening route. If you are searching for King's Punch, check the dummies and read the interaction before leaving the market area.

Loki's two-location Trickster route
Start with Loki in Anchor Town Harbor near the water or docks. Speak with him and complete his first item-fetch task, then obtain Pickpocket and Pocket Sand from the Hoarder. After those steps, find Loki on the Clown Town Ferris wheel and finish the follow-up interaction before learning Trickster.
For Loki's first fetch, check the live objective to see which items he wants before you continue to the Hoarder. The important travel order is Anchor Town Harbor, Hoarder, then the Clown Town Ferris wheel. If you only find the Ferris wheel version, you have reached the second stop and still need to finish the initial Harbor route.
Captain Esopo's Marksman route
For Marksman, travel to the Maple Village rocky shore on the Black Noir Pirates Raid side. The trainer and a Captain Esopo boss are close enough to cause confusion, so look for the trainer dialogue and Marksman-related interaction rather than choosing a character by name alone. A separate Marksman guide covers the full unlock route if you need more than the location.

Grand Blue Quest Giver NPC Locations
Quest givers are spread through recognizable structures rather than one central counter. The tables below list the 25 important quest and progression contacts covered here. Some objectives are easier to identify from the live dialogue than from a stable quest name, so the useful answer is the NPC's landmark and broad progression role.
Anchor Town Quest Givers
Use Anchor Town's named zones in this order when you are searching: lighthouse and Harbor, then City and Blacksmith, then Coast, mines, and Marine Base. The Blacksmith and raised stone platform are a particularly useful pair because Almighty Calvin stands close to Craftsman Henry.

| NPC | Landmark | Player use or route clue |
|---|---|---|
| Keeper Otis | On the lighthouse | Quest contact at the lighthouse. |
| Fisherman Jack | Anchor Town docks | Fishing quest contact. His Carp challenge is tied to the Carbon Rod route. |
| Two-Worm Terry | Anchor Town Beach, near Captain Jack's Sea Sailer Shop | Beach-side quest contact. |
| Nessa | Anchor Town Harbor, across from Aria | Harbor quest contact. |
| Maeve | On a bench in the City area | City quest contact. |
| Craftsman Henry | Inside the Blacksmith Building | Blacksmith-area quest contact. |
| Almighty Calvin | On a rock or raised platform to the right of the Blacksmith | His wizard route uses the raised platform as the starting landmark. |
| Wade | On a Coast platform behind the West Marine Base tower | Coast and Marine Base-side quest contact. |
| Miner Song Kim Wu | Inside the Coast mines | Mining-area quest contact. |
| Miner Sung Jil Wu | Inside the Coast mines | Mining-area quest contact near Song Kim Wu. |
| Jay Vonera | Left of the Marine Base gate | Marine Base approach quest contact. |
| Captive Swordsman | Tied to a cross inside the Marine Base | Marine Base progression contact after you reach the interior. |
Two Anchor Town routes are worth remembering beyond the landmark table. Fisherman Jack is the contact for the fishing route, while Ricky's shop is also on the docks nearby. For a first cursed-fruit route, Almighty Calvin is beside the Blacksmith on the raised platform or rock. His route starts with the Wizards Apprentice quest, uses the Rusty Shovel at marked dig spots, and returns to Calvin for Calvin's Treasure and a Cursed Fruit.
The Marine Base group works the same way: use the gate as the entrance landmark, then look inside for Captive Swordsman. The named gate and interior route are more useful than trying to navigate from a distant town building.

Clown Town Quest Givers
Clown Town's quest contacts form three practical clusters: Harbor and Town entrance, the Clownival and whale-fountain side, and the Beast Tamer and Killer Clown side. You may see Johnny listed as Nibblebottom, Nibbletown, or simply Johnny. Use the Clownival entrance and quest prompt to identify him.

| NPC | Landmark | Player use or route clue |
|---|---|---|
| Mayor Kiyoshi | Outside a Harbor-area house near the Clown Town dock | Harbor quest contact. |
| Johnny Nibblebottom | At the Town entrance from the Clownival side | Clownival entrance quest contact. |
| Gambit | On a horse in the Clownival mini-horse ride or Merry-Go-Round area | Clownival quest contact. |
| Clowny D. Clown | On the Clown's Hub platform near the whale fountain | Whale-fountain and Clown's Hub quest contact. |
| Benny | Outside a house near the whale fountain | Fountain-side quest contact. |
| Stephon | Among crates and barrels near the Beast Tamer spawn | Beast Tamer-area quest contact. |
| Billy B. | In the meat shop near the Killer Clown area | Killer Clown-side quest contact. |
| Sadistic Clown | On a nearby platform around the Killer Clown area | Killer Clown-side quest contact. |
The Beast Tamer arena is a good visual checkpoint when you are looking for Stephon or the nearby Merchant stall. From there, continue toward the Killer Clown area for Billy B. and Sadistic Clown rather than returning to the Harbor.

Maple Village Quest Givers
Maple Village has a compact set of quest contacts around the Mansion, central farm, and Black Noir side. The well and Mansion are separate outdoor and indoor checkpoints, so check both before assuming the village has no quest contact for you.

| NPC | Landmark | Player use or route clue |
|---|---|---|
| Martha | Near the well across from the Mansion | Mansion-area quest contact. |
| Remy | Inside the Mansion kitchen | Cooking-related quest contact. The Grand Blue cooking guide covers the kitchen system in more detail. |
| Farmer Joe | By the small farm straight from the Mansion | Farming-area quest contact. |
| Chicken Hank | By the same small farm | Farm and chicken-area quest contact. |
| Gus | Near the Black Noir Officer mob area | Black Noir-side quest contact for later repeatable progression. |
The central farm is the landmark to use for both Farmer Joe and Chicken Hank. It is also close to the farming context covered by the Grand Blue pets guide, while Charlie's garden is the separate shop location described below.

Grand Blue Shop NPC Locations
The shop routes are split between stalls, named buildings, and one moving ship. Smuggler and Merchant each appear in more than one town, while fishing, farm, ship, and storage services have their own landmarks. Prices and stock can change, so the service prompt matters more than an old price list.
| Vendor | Location | What the vendor handles |
|---|---|---|
| Smuggler | Anchor Town Harbor, and next to Mayor Kiyoshi's house in Clown Town | Smuggler stall services. Check both locations if the Harbor stall is not useful for your route. |
| Merchant | Anchor Town Harbor, and the left corner of the Clown Town Beast Tamer area | Merchant buyback stall services. |
| Ricky | Anchor Town docks near Wallace | Worms and Fishing Rods. |
| Captain Jones | Inside Captain Jack's Sea Sailer Shop in the Anchor Town Beach area | The Rowboat and Transponder Snail. |
| Merry | Inside the Maple Village dock building or Marine Dealership | Ship purchases, fish handling, and the Fiberglass Rod. Some guides spell the name Mary. |
| Charlie | In the garden to the left of the Maple Village Mansion | Farming gear. |
| Tomoe | Inside a roaming bank ship on the water route between Maple Village and Beginner Town | Opens the Gullport Maritime Trust account for Gold storage. |
For fishing, start with Ricky on the Anchor Town docks near Wallace. Fisherman Jack's quest route and Ricky's shop are close enough to combine into one dock visit. For ships and higher fishing supplies, continue to the Maple Village dock building and look for the Marine Dealership prompt.

How to reach Tomoe's roaming bank ship
Tomoe is the exception to the normal landmark rule. Do not search for a permanent building in Maple Village or Beginner Town. Instead:
- Start from either Maple Village or Beginner Town and scan the water route between them.
- Board the large roaming bank ship when it passes close enough to reach.
- Go inside the ship and speak with Tomoe.
- Confirm the Gullport Maritime Trust deposit prompt before storing Gold.
Tomoe's bank ship roams the water between Maple Village and Beginner Town. Scan that route and board it when it comes into reach. The ship itself is the landmark, and the deposit dialogue is the final check that you found Tomoe rather than another boat.

How to Find the Right Grand Blue NPC When a Name Does Not Match
When an NPC guide and your server disagree, use this order of checks:
- Start with the role. Decide whether you need a trainer, quest giver, fishing seller, ship vendor, farm vendor, buyback Merchant, or Gold storage.
- Match the role to the island and landmark. A dock, pond, Mansion kitchen, Beast Tamer arena, rocky shore, or Ferris wheel is more reliable than a left-or-right instruction copied from another route.
- Read the live prompt. Before accepting a quest or paying for a style or item, confirm that the dialogue names the expected service.
- Use the Logbook or active marker as a second check. These can help connect the current objective to the landmark you are standing near.
A few name differences are especially likely. Captain Esopo may be called Usopp in fighting-style guides, Johnny Nibblebottom may appear as Nibbletown or Johnny, and Merry may appear as Mary. Loki's first location should be treated as Anchor Town Harbor near the water or docks, without relying on a universal left-or-right side. If a guide spells Officer Graves as Greaves around the training-ground route, use the live displayed name and the training prompt.
For Captain Esopo, the role check is essential because the Maple Village rocky shore and raid side also has a Captain Esopo boss. Choose the Marksman trainer interaction, not simply the first character with the same name. For Tomoe, the same rule means looking for the roaming ship and Gullport Maritime Trust dialogue instead of waiting at a fixed dock.
Use the island table first, follow the broad landmark second, and let the interaction prompt settle the final few steps. For complete system walkthroughs, continue to the Grand Blue fighting styles guide, cooking guide, pets guide, or Marksman guide linked above.
