Grand Blue cooking turns materials from farming, fishing, and hunting into HP recovery and temporary activity or combat effects. The part that catches new cooks is the station interaction: you need to load the pan, start the dish, and claim it during the green completion window before it burns.
This guide covers the Maple Village kitchen, the complete Cooking Station sequence, recipe unlocks, the 15 named dishes documented for the Early Access build, ingredient routes, and the Cooking progression system. The game is still in Early Access, so the named recipe list and displayed requirements may expand or change as the experience is updated.
Where to Find the Cooking Station in Grand Blue
Travel to Maple Village and enter the mansion. The kitchen inside contains the Cooking Station where you can open the Cookbook, load ingredients, and cook your food. Bring the ingredients for the dish you want before you start, then use the station's prompts to complete the interaction.

How to Cook Food in Grand Blue
Once you are at a Cooking Station, the order matters. Follow these steps for each dish:
- Equip an ingredient from your inventory.
- Press
Eor chooseAdd Ingredientto put it in the pan. Repeat this for the remaining ingredients. - When the recipe quantity is complete, press
Start Cooking. - Wait for the circle around the pan to turn green.
- Press
Fduring the green window to claim the finished food, then consume it from your inventory when you need its HP recovery or effect.
If you add the wrong item, hold nothing and press E to remove the added ingredient before starting the dish. In the documented station sequence, the cooked food must be claimed within 3 seconds or it burns. Eating burnt food deals 5 Damage, so watch the pan after you press Start Cooking and follow the live station prompt if the Early Access UI changes.

How Grand Blue Cooking Recipes Unlock
You do not manually buy each recipe from the Cookbook. Gather the complete ingredient set for a dish, then open the Cookbook at a Cooking Station with G to inspect the recipes and their requirements. A recipe unlocks automatically after its required ingredients have been gathered.
That makes the Cookbook useful before you spend materials. Use it to confirm the ingredient category and quantity shown by your live game, especially for recipes whose documented requirements vary between guides.
Grand Blue Cooking Recipes and Ingredient Sources
The table below collects the named dishes in the documented Early Access recipe set. The ingredient column includes a practical route so you can decide whether to farm, fish, or hunt before returning to Maple Village. Any Fish, Any Fruit, and Any Vegetable mean the recipe accepts an item from that category.

| Koi Delicacy | Epic / 26 EXP | 1x Yang Koi and 1x Yin Koi; Fishing | Restores 75 HP and allows underwater breathing for 1 minute |
Two rows need a quick live-check before you commit materials. The documented Fisherman's Platter requirement uses 2x Any Fish as the conservative shopping amount, while another recipe listing shows 1x Any Fish. Pepper Steak is documented as needing 1x Tuna, although other guides label that slot Any Tuna. Open the Cookbook with G and follow the requirement shown in your game if it differs.
Before relying on a negative effect, check the Apple Pot Pie, Vegetable Stew, and Roast Chicken entries in the live Cookbook because these three effects are described differently across recipe listings. The documented values are -3% Damage Dealt for Apple Pot Pie and Roast Chicken and -5% Damage Dealt for Vegetable Stew; Garden Salad is separate and lists -3% Damage Taken.
Which Grand Blue Food Should You Cook for Each Activity?
Choose the dish by the task you are about to do rather than treating one recipe as universally best:
- Mining: Miner's Hash gives +10% Mining Fragment Chance for 10 minutes.
- Farming: Gardener's Tea gives +5% Farming Bonus Crop Chance for 10 minutes.
- Fishing: Fisherman's Platter gives +10 Fishing Luck for 10 minutes, but confirm its fish quantity in the live Cookbook first.
- Combat damage: Pepper Steak gives +5% Damage Dealt for 5 minutes, while Omelette gives +3% Damage Dealt for 5 minutes.
- Damage reduction: Garden Salad gives -3% Damage Taken for 5 minutes.
- Sustain: Seafood Soup restores 40 HP and adds +1.5 HP/s regeneration for 3 minutes.
- Underwater activity: Koi Delicacy restores 75 HP and allows underwater breathing for 1 minute.
The juice, Bread, Grilled Fish, and other dishes are still useful when you mainly need immediate HP recovery. Check the effect and duration in the table, then use a recipe whose ingredients you can replace comfortably.
Grand Blue Cooking Skills, Milestones, and Rebirth
Cooking has four skill-tree branches that improve different parts of the loop:
- Steady Hand improves the timing or burn margin around the cooking interaction.
- Thrifty Cook improves ingredient recovery or the chance of receiving extra portions.
- Rich Flavor strengthens or extends food effects.
- Hot Stove speeds up cooking.
The documented Cooking milestones occur at levels 10, 25, 50, 75, and 100. These milestones provide Gold or Celestial Coin rewards, and level 100 also awards the Gourmet King title. After level 100, Cooking Rebirth options become available for continued progression.
Cooking can also create Oil from 1x Sardine. Oil is described as a crafting material that burns easily, so treat it as a separate material output rather than a food buff.
Gather one recipe's ingredients, return to the mansion kitchen in Maple Village, and use G to check the Cookbook before loading the pan. When the green completion window appears, claim the food immediately, then use the effect that matches your next activity.
