Fisch Eldritch Rod Guide: Steps to Obtain the Limited‑Time Rod

The Eldritch Rod is a limited FischFright 3 reward, and nothing in the route needs a purchase. You earn it by reaching 10 Hex Energy at Beatrix's Cauldron in Caustic Hallow. Hex Energy comes from Witch's Ingredients, which you get by finishing Goblin challenges on the main sea. FischFright 3 added the rod on October 17, 2026, so work through the route while the event is running.

How to Reach Caustic Hallow in Fisch

Caustic Hallow is the FischFright 3 island, and the trip starts at Moosewood.

1. Head to Moosewood and board the Flying Dutchman.
2. Talk to the ship's captain.
3. Choose the travel option for Caustic Hallow.

Expect to go back and forth. The Goblin work happens on the main sea, and the Cauldron waits on Caustic Hallow.

How to Get Witch's Ingredients from Goblins

Goblins appear on islands across the main sea at regular intervals. Each one gives you a task, and finishing it earns Witch's Ingredients. Here's the loop:

1. Watch for the Goblin spawn alert on screen. It names the island where the Goblin is.
2. Head to that island and talk to the Goblin.
3. Complete the task it gives you before the timer runs out.
4. Collect your Witch's Ingredients, then head back to Caustic Hallow when you're ready to offer them.

The tasks change from Goblin to Goblin. You might catch fish, dance, chat or answer a trivia question. Read the task and its timer before you commit, because a task you can't finish in time won't earn you any ingredients.

If Goblin Alerts Don't Show Up

If you haven't seen a Goblin alert yet, the Pumpkin King's opener may be what brings the alerts in. It asks for 15 FischFright fish. It's optional, though, since Goblin challenges can start right away.

Hex Energy Values for Beatrix's Cauldron

Each ingredient adds a fixed amount of Hex Energy, based on its type. Higher-value ingredients get you to 10 in fewer offers, but any mix counts toward the total. Two Dark Art Skulls reach 10 on their own. Ten Dirty Candy Corn offers get there too, just more slowly.

The message after each offer shows what that ingredient added and your running total. If it ever shows a different number than this table, trust the message.

Offering Ingredients Until the Rod Appears

Beatrix's Cauldron sits near the docks of Caustic Hallow. Walk up to it and you get two choices, Offer Ingredient and Offer All Ingredients.

1. Choose Offer Ingredient to send one ingredient at a time, or Offer All Ingredients for a bulk offer.
2. Watch the running total after each offer.
3. Repeat until your total reaches 10 Hex Energy.

Once you reach 10, Beatrix announces the reward, and the Eldritch Rod shows up in your Fishing Rods inventory. That's how you know you're done.

Two things to know before you offer:

• Only unfavorited ingredients go in. If yours are favorited, unfavorite them first. With nothing eligible left, the Cauldron shows a no-ingredients notice.
• Offer All Ingredients uses up everything eligible in one go. If you're saving some for other event activities, offer one at a time instead.

Eldritch Rod Stats and Abilities

The rod is two thorny vines twisted together, one dark, rough metal and one glowing neon purple with embers floating around it. Here are its stats.

The in-game numbers can differ, so if your Rod Journal shows other values, go with the Journal.

Luck at 230% pushes your odds toward rarer catches. Lure Speed at 90% gets fish biting faster, and infinite Max kg means the rod has no weight cap on what you can reel in.

The rod also carries three effects that come up during a catch:

• Eldritch mutation: a 40% chance to add the mutation to your catch.
• Thorns: a 15% chance to trap the fish and double your progress.
• Curse: a 10% chance. The curse stops if the fish leaves the control bar for more than one second.
